Hate to nitpick another player Maxine but, I do believe baked into every ship contract is a clause that says repairs must be made otherwise shares will be sold off:

To be clear, no, repairs are not mentioned by name as something you have to do. The cost of repairs are mentioned by name as one of the things you have to pay your share of. Which necessitated determining the cost we will be paying, deciding on what level of repairs to get. As for the amendment, it will suffice, I'd prefer partial as the default, but I don't have the patience to draw this out to see if you bite.

While we can discuss amendments to clarify this, I would argue that "any costs incurred" covers full repair costs. Especially since repairs is the only example given. It doesn't explicitly say "full repair costs", but it also doesn't explicitly say other things, like what form a share auction should take or whether players can trade shares (or whether a dog can play basketball).
That being said, as mentioned I'd be fine with adding a clarifying amendment if it puts your mind at ease.
I'd argue you only want to see it that way because it is more convenient. But sure, putting it aside. I found the above amendment from Awyen agreeable enough, feel free to come up with your own or modify it if you prefer.

Oh, perhaps we should look into amending those other gaps at some point. What if we encounter the mythical basketball playing dog at sea? :P

I saw that more as a vote among shareholders to agree we would do it. And while they are very similar in content, I'm sure, having made one and signed the other, you are aware of the minor but not insignificant differences.
