I tried to play chess but two of my opponents were playing competitive checkers as a third person walked in with Game of Thrones in hand confused cause they thought this was the book club.

With the tech trees, can you activate all of the abilities in any given turn, or do you have to pick one?

All of them.
Although Temporal Stasis might be too strong on this particular map.
It's now
Quote from:  temporal stasis
once per Turn, make one of your Star Systems immune to any Attacks for that Turn. The system does not contribute resource points this turn.
Anyone who chose ChronoTech may repick tech tree.

Telepathic Insight is a creative new idea but you might want to reconsider the exact game mechanic. Fights in these games are all about second guessing your opponent, being able to play the perfect counter every time is extremely strong.

I want each tech tree to feel powerful.
how about approximate numbers?
(so you only get one of the following:
1: one
2-4: a couple
4-9: several
8-15: a dozen
14-27: a score
24-40: dozens
35-70: scores
60-140: a hundred
>=110: myriads
F.e. Red player invests a dozen resources into Sol and attacks Eridani with a score of resources and several drones)

Also, if pisons are so overpowered, why not join the game as a Psion and win? ;)

A couple of questions about BioMech:

Quote
Drones regenerate at a rate of 1 per Turn in each Star System without needing to spend resources.
Does this mean, if I lose a Drone in combat, they are instead merely incapacitated and will recover in this way, or are these these new Drones? Can I use a System to regen a Drone and also use it to build a new one?

Quote
Drones provide a +2 bonus to rolls for any Defense.
Is this instead of or in addition to the default +3 to Defence?

I'm interested in playing though!

not sure what others think, imho this sounds much more balanced

Of course. :) Sedrick Vandermeulen, resourceful diplomat and Psion specialist at Ladus YTE6.

When everyone is a Psion, you need only blind 1 eye for no one to be.

In addition, for a total of +5.
