Godstrike 120mm Howitzer Model 1901
A 120mm artillery piece designed to out-range Duchy Moron fieldguns and harass Duchy Idiots who hide in trenches like Fucking Cowards.
The howitzer rolls about on two wheels with a hitch allowing it to be rapidly towed from place to place by horse. It features a gun shield, hydro-pneumatic recoil system and an interrupted screw breech. The Godstrike primarily fires HE shells, which are packaged in complete powder+shell brass casings. A compass embedded in the frame allows the gunners to determine azimuth of the gun, and a handcrank matched to a notched ranging strip allows the gunners to determine angle. The barrel is quite long for artillery, sitting at 1.8 meters. Fire rate is expected to be (with a decently skilled crew) 1 round every 6 seconds. Elevation can exceed 45 degrees, but the angle notches do not go that far.
Dice Gods Say: You get a 5.
The Godstrike Howitzer is quite the marvel of heavy ordinance. The 120mm HE shells prove adequate in destroying mock fortifications though the fixed powder load makes aiming at extreme and near ranges difficult as the powder load can't be increased or decreased in the field. The expected fire rate
can be achieved but only for a short period of time as the weapon eventually needs to be allowed to cool, though the loaders usually tire out after around 12 consecutive rounds are fired resulting in a more average fire rate. Most crew prefer to keep up an average and efficient fire rate.
It is now the
Revision Phase as well as time to submit your regimental banner though you've already done that. I'll be nice and hold off on rolling the dice for the revision phase until the royals submit one or declare forfeit.
Confederation Armory:
Ogedi Commission Infantry Rifle: The standard issue rifle of the Confederation, the Ogedi was designed by a rifle commission during the closing days of the Alliance Wars. It is Cheap at 2 Ore.
R-I-M1900a1: Coming in with a modern 6.5mm round this rifle is a decent rifle and comparable to other rifles on the continent in its effectiveness after fixing some teething problems and replaces our old rifle in its entirety, cavalry can use it but its still a little too long to be used comfortably by them. It also comes with a blade bayonet. It is Cheap at 2 Ore.
Witchfire 6.5mm Light Machinegun Model 1900: A light machinegun at around 29 pounds the Witchfire uses the same 6.5mm cartridge as the R-I-M1900a1 fed from a 40 round pan magazine and operated by a long-stroke gas piston system.
