Another Village Idiot question: When the Village Idiot changes everyone's roles, do the players get to use the abilities of their new roles?

Anyone with role manipulation abilities should claim first.

I started the game as one.

I'm not claiming what I did until other people claim though.

He is a role manipulation/viewing class.

I don't believe the Village Idiot affects the middle roles.

If the village idiot changes roles, folks still use their initial role powers, as no one would know their role changes outside of the aura seer and the insomniac (which doesn't appear to be in play).

How do role swaps work if the player gets their role swapped before they act in the action priority list? E.G., the drunk and the village idiot.

I am an active ability user and I am asking because I really want to know if the Village Idiot had to swap everybody's roles or not and it appears that they did.

1) You only act during the Night as the role you were when you started the Night Phase. During the Vote Phase, your role acts as the role you ended as, though. E.g. A Prince that was changed to a Werewolf during the Night Phase would not maintain their Prince powers during the Vote Phase. They would act as a Werewolf during the Vote Phase.

Well Bluarian is confirmed Villager unless somebody wants to claim otherwise.

From what I gather, that is only true before accounting for the Village Idiot.  As from what I can tell, they would have acted as the Aura Seer, then got whatever role was to the left or right of them.  Even though the Aura Seer's action occurred after the Village Idiot.

...and then there is the issue of an Aura Seer that deducted they got the Werewolf card....

And from the above, if Toony's confirmed town before the Village Idiot, then I'm still town!  Yay!

Does the Village Idiot decide whether to go right or left?

If Toony's the drunk, then I'm pissed.  Please don't be the drunk Toony...

If nobody steps forward as Village Idiot and if nobody claims to have messed with Bluarian then Bluarian is still an Aura Seer and thus confirmed Villager.
