CLADE: ' Graspers '

The humble 'Grasper', as of now currently only understood as a clade bearing two rather closely related species, generally appear to take the form of rather large spheroid-torso creatures. Being their second most notable characteristic, a grasper's torso generally falls into the circumferent range of 200 to 400 centimeters, while just as well taking up approximately 90% of their body's full height, of which the tallest measured individual of either species stood an estimated 146.3 centimeters tall. This height disparity is mostly due to their nearly vestigial neck as well as inset, stubby legs. Make no mistake, the average 'Grasper's limbs are quite stout, however, the speed of their gait is in turn rather slow for such a large creature. Most notably perhaps and for their namesake are the lengthy arms that Graspers posess, much like our own. Graspers exhibit apposable thumbs and three more fingers on either hand, such adaptaions allow them to easily pick fruits from trees, or prey from small burrows.

This fact has proven to be somewhat detrimental to the 'Rotund Graspers' of the Cradle Savanna, who have no true capability of chasing down live meals, slowly it seemed, as prey became more adept at evasion, and the fruits of the Savanna became more sparse, the diet of the 'Rotund Graspers' turned more heavily toward vegetation, their stomachs prodigious enough to digest plant proteins. This offshoot tended to forgo hunting and scavenging meats instead toward gathering large swaths of savanna grass utilizing their long arms, to be eaten as pleased, bundled under either arm. This appeared to attribute to a certain type of desertification amid the Cradle Savanna, reducing shade for small critters such as Long-tailed Bonegnawers and Pams.

Two points are spent speciating a branch of the 'Rotund Graspers' from LARGE OMNIVORES into what is now referred to as 'Gathering Graspers' as LARGE GRAZERS.

During the same period, a very similar speciation was taking place within the Shielded Jungle, where many 'Bespeckled Graspers' thrived, wandering through the thick humid forests. Due to their comprehensive adaptations to jungle life, it seemed the 'Bespeckled Graspers' would have little reason to change. Their fat-storing bodies did well to keep them warm while the thick down of fur across the entirety of their form save the face, hands, and foot-pads kept them insulated from the wetness of the area. They bore little need for speed as life brimmed throughout the jungle, the bark eating 'Oolu's one of their main diets. Perhaps it was no surprise, as the wandering spotted ball-beasts began to gather and browse on all manner of vegetation just as well. 'Green-Molared Graspers' evolved to do much the same as the 'Gathering Graspers', hoarding away all manner of vegetation of which was a bounty in the Jungle for future nutrients. This species remained bespeckled and took to using their powerful arms to hoist themselves into the canopy where they gathered in small families, sharing their green feasts as well as protect themselves from the massive 'Cyerts'.

Three points are spent speciating a branch of the 'Bescpeckled Graspers' from LARGE OMNIVORES into the aforementioned, 'Green-Molared Graspers' as LARGE BROWSERS.

((( My reading comp might not be the best, but I'm not one hundred percent sure exactly what penalties apply, I'll figure it out when I see the next turn's rolls, so no need to spell it out for me. However I do have one question, does speciate like this 'remove' the previous niche? Or is it merely a branch off of it? If s, is there anyway to retain your collective species? Sorry if I misunderstood anything. )))

There are endoparasitic tetrapods, like vampire bats, or bloodpeckers. I intentionally choose against internal parasite niche
Well, I suspected that you have confused one word with another.

Endoparasite = Internal parasite
Ectoparasite = External parasite

Oh no...

Welp, too late to change it now. Evolutionary biologists now want my head.

You branch out everytime you speciate. Your previous species, the ones you branch out of, remain extant as their own.

Can we spend points to boost E.S. or not? If not, tell me and I will edit accordingly
Spend 1 point to increase E.S. of Copi
Spend 2 Points for the Flama to speciate into Decomposer
Spend 2 point for the Oolu to speciate into Large Grazer

Yes you can, but be warned, if you roll lower than your initial E.S, you will lose -5 instead.

Ok. Good to know my actions are valid. I’ll have you keep naming the species for now, keeping names short will no doubt make it easier to fit more species on the classification tree

Why? It is too late only if Knightwing and Naturegirl actually wanted their species to be internal parasites and insist on those staying internal. Otherwise, it is few simple edits.

Friendly warning: These are huge jumps and you will get heavy penalties. Impossible to roll above 0 level of heavy. As I see these game mechanics, Large Grazers aren't simply Large Grazers, they are the best grazers with highly specialized digestive systems.

Clade: Wyrms

Stereo-> Apex Wyrms: Massive snake-like serpent with legs with scales in a sand-color pattern

Crass-> Skull Wyrms: medium-sized Serpent with white scales and exaggerated boney protrusions on its face, with a dietary system that can devour and process bones

Cyert->Jungle Wyrms: Massive snake-like serpents with forest green scales with legs, with a venomous bite

Lamionem->Hooded Wyrms: Hyena-sized snake-like serpents with a exaggerated hood on them with light green scales and that steals food from others

Defril->Burrower Wyrms: medium-sized Snake-like serpents with brown scales that have the ability to dig through the ground and create burrows.

1 Point for Skull Wyrms to speciate some of their kind and swim to Savannah of Jutting (Subspecies: Sternum Wyrms)

1 Point for Skull Wyrms from Cradle Savannah to speciate into the Cleaners of the Cradle Savannah (Subspecies: Janitor Wyrms)

1 Point for Skull Wyrms from Shielded Jungle to speciate to the Osteophages in Shielded Jungle (Subspecies: Bone Wyrms)

1 Point for Hooded Wyrms from Shielded Jungle to speciate into the Arboreal Predators in Shielded Jungle (Subspecies: Tree Wyrms)

1 Point for Digger Wyrms from Shielded Jungle to speciate into the Small Predators in Shielded Jungle (Striped Wyrms)

Umm, things are messy here. Your descriptions of the species and actual speciation actions don't match.

Clade: long necks
[/color]

Spend 2 points speciating the long legged long necks into large gravers (the spotted plumb) in the cradle savanna

The spotted plumb is a branch of long necks that came from the long legged long necks, they are fairly larger and have a more specialized stomach then their ancestor, as the result, they have a lot of weight and therefore, they have to sit in a doggy position every time they go to eat grass as to not fall over, their wings are vestigial, only appearing as small nuggets of flesh covered in feathers, their name originate from the fact that their feathers are covered in white spots, which are there to indicate their health, as the less melanin the spots have, the healthier is the creature

Spend 3 points speciating the long legged long necks into small omnivores (the loners) in the cradle savanna

While the spotted plumb specialized in herbivory, the loners have introduced meat to their diet, in the form of insects and small animals, this is to get the protein they need to make their wings functional, which they use as counter balance for their bodies as they are running from predators, as the name suggests, they live a solitary life and act aggressively to each other, only tolerating each other during breeding season, which occurs in late summer to early autumn, they kill their prey by violently shaking it until it pass out and then eating it, to adapt to this, they have shorter necks that are more heavily anchored by muscle so that they can’t pass out as well

(What do you think of my species? I’m planning to make two lines for this clade, that being the carnivorous line and the herbivorous line)

(( Ahh I mixed some things up about penalties for sure. Going for SMALL GRAZER and SMALL BROWSER would be significantly less difficult thanks to it only being one tier away from Large Omnivore, do I understand that correctly? And I see now, that isn't neccessarily just equated to size, the Large/Small.

Either way, even if those are already occupied, I'll go for them, think of me having changed those declerations to the Small variant thereof.))
