You proceed down into the valley, Talent clopping along behind you.

As you pass into the valley, it opens up into a purple landscape of small, pointy crystals.  You play with them musically for a minute, as each one makes a small tone.  You can see the downhill continuing towards the rill, and the trees begin soon.  The crystals, however, stop where the trees begin.  There are more of them and larger if you stay in the highlands.

Big Crystals

Hmm.  The crystals always seem out of reach, just a bit further away, but never any actual closer.  As you walk towards them, they go further and further away.  Upon turning around, you're back at the crossroads, with the crystals sitting there imperiously just out of reach.

You ask Talent to retrieve you a crystal.  He pulls up a foreleg and salutes you, before clopping away towards the big crystals.

Some time later, the sky twists and darkens into evening, with clouds floating across the sky, before Talent returns with a bag of large chunks of broken crystal.

You give talent a carrot, who promptly salutes you again and then sits down, enjoying the carrot in his teeth.

..you then start plucking at the purple guitar, bringing forth minor music.

..eh?  Looking down into the sound box, you think you see something flit away, ducking deeper into the body of the guitar, out of sight from the sound holes.  You're not quite sure what to do with this purple guitar.
