Fish?
Signs cloudy, ask again later.

Did it have cartilage?
I've never explicitly heard of this, but it's possible.

The kitchenette mold free, you move on to the pantry. it's nasty in there. The bacon is grazing on the lettuce. The ham is having an illicit affair with the prime rib, The potatoes see all, know all. A rat in boxer shorts smoking a foul smelling cigar is banging on a cabinet shouting about rent money.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that if it is maybe a fish, and maybe a snail, it is definitely maybe a mollusk. After all, if it's a fish, it isn't a mollusk, and if it's a snail it is.

Is it considered part of the Ediacaran biota?

I admit I'm a little at a loss for fossils we don't even know if they were vertebrate outside the Burgess shale, as I think most of the Ediacarans, while bizarre in many exciting ways, are solid "nos", but hey, I'll think of something. Or someone else will and steal all my glory.

Is this a Trilobite?
I am extremely extremely confident that a trilobite is neither a fish nor a snail. I guess it's possible that Ironyowl just doesn't know much about trilobites... :P
