Name: Major Estela Lazarri
Age: 19 (Birthday: 02/19)
Appearance: Estela’s about 5’7” with an athletic build, and fairly tanned skin. She has fairly lengthy red hair that she ties up in a side-ponytail, green eyes, and usually has some form of bandage visible on her from where she got hit in a spar or in combat. Estela modifies the usual officer uniform significantly, to accommodate her quick-moving and highly physical style of combat. She wears shorts and knee-pads instead of a skirt. She also goes for good running shoes instead of boots. The coat is shorter, and designed such that if it’s grabbed it will rip away easily so she doesn’t risk it being grabbed. If not in combat, she’s usually wearing the coat open with a tank-top as all she has underneath, foregoing whatever goes beneath. She does keep a stock of immaculate dress uniforms just in case she needs them, even if they’re stuffier than her taste.
She tends to wrap her hands in bandages to avoid bruising her knuckles as she fights, along with keeping her powder on her hands. On one hip she has her holy weapon, which seems like a perfectly normal pouch in which she keeps gunpowder; on the other is a container with a bunch of what appear to be stakes with mallet-type heads, loosely connected to a metal ball. This is custom-made gear for her to fight with; she thrusts the stake into the ground, hits the mallet-head on the back, the vibrations rocket the ball off at high enough speed to use as a makeshift cannon.
Commissioned art for herPersonality: Estela’s had her path laid out for her from an early age. As the first daughter of a military family, she’d definitely go to a top tier officer school, learn her stuff, and do well. Her road’s been fairly determined pretty much from the word go, so it’s a good thing she’s all aboard for it. Estela took to war like a duck to water. While not the most academically inclined, she is still quite intelligent and did well in officer training - turned out all those strategy games with her sisters as a kid paid dividends. She has a good grasp of tactics, how to delegate when a subordinate has greater expertise in a field, where to press the enemy hardest.
But what’s really propelled her through the ranks is combat. She is not only good at fighting, she loves it. She’s right in the fray with her troops, waves of white light carving a path through the enemy as she looks for a good duel. As she goes she’s both loudly enjoying herself, and loudly encouraging her troops to press onward; she’s a confident woman, and has that confidence in herself and the ladies under her command. She’s a fun-loving and competitive woman who lives purely in the moment, and enjoys every second of it.
Element: Force
Weapon: A bag of gunpowder that Estela rubs on her hands before a fight. When she does this, she can imbue any part of her body with force, giving her punches and kicks destructive power. In particular, she works with vibrations; when she punches it sends vibrations through the target; if you’re on the other side of a wall she punches, that won’t protect you; if she lands a hit on the head, you’re going to be lucky if you walk away with a concussion. This makes it dangerous to get close since while Estela’s limited to the reach of her fists, if she manages to land a hit it becomes very easy to land more. The power is triggered by sharp, snappy motion, and gives off a bright white light whenever it triggers.
