Maybe.....play the game? It's free you know.
Maybe if the game gets a user interface of some kind, and doesn't cause crippling lag after awhile...
The only indication of it having occurred is when a female has become pregnant (which requires DFHack scripts to detect).
I am not complaining, but I do see it as...humorous? When a game is so detailed cats get drunk from licking beer droplets from their fur, and so graphically violent, that physical lovemaking is the place where we say this is going too far dang nabbit! Think of the children! Just... modern society is weird.
A:) I'm not really sure what you're here for if you don't even play the game! We're a friendly bunch, but this particular discussion has been had MANY times before. I suggest you use the search function before opening a new thread.
B:)I agree, American society in particular is a bit sheltered when it comes to sex. However you are missing the point of DF: to create fantasy stories! Yes, some stories have sexual encounters, but it's not exactly the main draw unless you're reading some real trash. DF is not trying to be an 'everything' simulator, despite what you read in the once-yearly journalistic exposé (which is also where you picked up the notion the UI is nonfunctional and the lag is unbearable. . neither of which is true), and ultimately I think it's a subject Toady has decided to stay away from. For now. Much like dwarven toilets, it's a thing that certainly happens, but it's not something calculated or observable.
If you think about it, DF is much more liberal with the depiction of sex than most other citybuilder games. Dwarves can be straight, gay, asexual, and in the new version they can take multiple lovers. This is MUCH better than Rimworld, for instance, whose creator has argued against including non-binary sexuality in his game. That's a story for another day, however.
