It is pragmatic, to be sure. It is ungodly.
Anathema. Greek: "ἀνάθεμα". An offering to a false god. A cursed thing.

Making thoughts clearer isn’t amtithema to SEED, or are you saying helping SEED’s people is an antithema? Didn’t SEED break the curse though? SEED had will, when others of his kind did not

Perhaps. Perhaps. I am simply-- disturbed.
I expected automata. I did not expect chained souls.

They are people sharing their minds with machines. SEED had experience creating people, this was likely easier than making only the machine while killing the soul. Here they still live, sharing themselves with the machine as we all share a body here. The human is still there, as is the machine. The machine has no need for emotions

Emotions are data like any other. To cripple oneself by stripping away all emotion... it seems unwise. In any case, this is how we can defeat our enemies. The destructive power of fusion bombs is unparalleled.

Yes, they will likely work, fusion produces radiation, which will also harm the non [plague] life here, including SEED’s people. If we do this, we also need to work on fixing the colony ship, so we can find a planet without the [plague] that doesn’t have large amounts of radiation. There’s a reason why there’s a warning there

True, but pure fusion bombs would result in much less fallout than conventional fission bombs, and fission or fusion bombs detonated as air bursts significantly decrease the resulting fallout, making them much "cleaner."

fair point
Can we get a list of technologies we can produce?

Uh...yeah. Its kinda hard to list literally every piece of technology that you can develop, but currently you are at a WW2 Level of Technology. I hope that doesn't break immersion, but I just wouldn't know where to start listing the technologies you could make and develop. Including atomic bombs. If you want a list of future tech, that I can provide.

I agree with Constantine. Man should not be slaved to the will of machines, no matter what spark of life it may have had. These things radiate...imagine standing next to a corpse that lives and breathes and talks. You shudder when you think of your proximity to Zero. Emma is watching him intently, quietly, eyes fixed on him.

"This one is to create the technology of humanity." Zero explains, politely, monotone once more as you scroll through the various diagrams and texts within the system. "Others would have held cultural and genetic databases."

[2] Unfortunately, many of the technologies you might need are limited by integrated circuit manufacturing. The Loom, the fusion bomb, so on. That requires high purity metallurgy, and that requires far more advanced chemistry than you think these people know. Your mind reels with how many things are required to go into the higher-level technologies.

Anything that doesn't require integrated circuits, really; including primitive, low-quality radios using something called vacuum tubes, the standard artillery pieces of the Crusaders, anti-aircraft guns, and many others. It's hard to comprehend how many things could be manufactured....there's designs for conventional slug thrower weapons, manually controlled fusion plants, something called steam locomotives, manual-control hydrogen production plants, manual-control bioplastic plants.

[3] "Hey, Zero. Tell me how long it would take us to create Looms?" You ask, letting the creature analyze the data for you.

"Three years before we could begin construction on a single Loom Facility. Provided we have the support of the Industrial Districts." He responds, after sitting quietly for a few minutes, scrolling furiously.

If we can hold on to what remains of our industrial complex, technology will become, in time, one of our greatest assets for the purposes of war and diplomacy, in addition to our own personal Empyreal capabilities.

For now... we must raise morale and communicate a vision for the future of our nation.

Right now, their god is dead, and the future seems bleak. We must establish ourself as an equivalent deity to SEED, moreso than we have already, and appeal to their desire for revenge against the plague.

In addition, we should retain the idea of the "Great Work" and discuss an achievable plan for the creation of a better society, one that can offer the comforts of technology.

Once we speak to them, give them renewed purpose, and set in motion a concrete plan, morale should improve.

We will tell a story.

In its last hours, knowing the fate that drew upon it, SEED took us into its heart-- and named us its heir-- and granted unto us its wisdom. It charged us with the protection of its people, with the continuation of its mission. and we swore a solemn oath before it. Thus bound, thus transfigured, we left that ancient chamber; and SEED burned itself away, erupted in cleansing fire, that the [plague] might not take it. A final sacrifice. A sacrifice made in love.

SEED is dead. The Great Work
lives. Like the phoenix of legend, we rise from the ashes of our Holy City. From this stronghold SEED (in its great wisdom) has prepared for us, we will raise a great vengeance against our weakened enemy. We will regain, we will transcend our past glory. We will transform this planet. We will reclaim our own.

And we--
you, godling-- are the phoenix made manifest. You are Phoenix-of-Sol. You remain, as ever, champion of your people.

...

We will give them a sigil.

Seven wings. Four lines: easily drawn, easily remembered. A Constantine before me took his empire by such a sigil.
"In Hoc Signo Vinces." Latin. "By this sign you shall conquer."

What say you all?
