Anyways, any confirmation from Castimier that he/she has begun their turn?

I'll send them a message now.

And the great Smallhands fully deserves the accolade! Keep up the good work.

I love dwarven status reports.

Smallhands needs a fortress anthem so it can be played on kazoo for this momentous occasion!

Castimier has responded and seems to be getting started, btw.

there hasn't happend much between the dwarfs themselves, but there was a quick siege.
all of the attackers where slain with almost no casualties/wounds.

Life imitates art
and well does ‘the first resident was identified as a man in his 20s who had been homeless for several years, and who has been staying in local shelters and living on the streets’ accurately describe the average dwarf at Smallhands

Really enjoyed the Smallhands saga. This fort and you guys are awesome. Desperately wanted to ask for a turn but had to restrain myself for two reasons:
1) as it may be obvious from my post, I'm bad at English grammar (I'm Russian), so my writing will be purely horrid for you to read.
2) I'm a boomer who got stuck with a .34.11 version for a reasons and as so don't know much about newer features so Smallhands pretty surely will be fucked up very soon under my hand.  :(

But if you're still playing, can I humbly ask you to dorf me?

You should sign up!
1. Your English seems fine to me. Barely anything in your post stood out.
2. The basics haven't changed at all (especially if we move to the new version with the updated stress system) and it's often the case with these games where the people who don't play perfectly create the best stories.

That goes for anyone else who doesn't think they're good enough for a turn. More unique viewpoints and play-styles only make things better! And if you do mess up, that just makes things more interesting for the next player! I know I had the most fun when it was just down to Salmeuk and Nogood and we were an inch away from total collapse.

I should note that I did update to 47.05. Hopefully, Cas is on the correct version. My fault for not stating it clearer.

Radiofort, you and all people are welcome to try overseeing! Smallhands is pretty secure, so it's not a bad fort to oversee if you're not very confident. It is...a bit messy, though.

EDIT:

I'd like some input on what the Legends entry should look like for Smallhands. It's tough, as each of us probably have a favorite aspect or event from the fort. The usual entries are short paragraphs.

Murr2 + fat_cat's line:

Quote
Ghouls, Necromancy, Feverish Goo, and !!SCIENCE!! all in a small space. Also the home of the first truly unkillable dwarf.

Maybe followed by a more direct explanation of what we've done here. So something like;

Quote
Ghouls, Necromancy, Feverish Goo, and !!SCIENCE!! all in a small space. Also the home of the first truly unkillable dwarf. Smallhands started as a succession fort for people with laptops/old computers. It quickly grew into much more with lone survivors, invincible echidnas, suicidal Forgotten Beasts, and experiments with resurrection. Great stories abound in this small package!

I'm pretty sure that my messed scribles will become obvious when it will come to game log, but if you're okay with that, then I'm okay too. So I'll sign up after Castimier's turn: I need to look closely at latest version and try to understand how all that 'stress system' and other stuff like taverns/raids/whatever else works (yes, I'm that much boomer).

Well, a non-messy fortress would be non-dwarfy, isn't it?

Ha, darn right. Your English is just fine, by the way; I’m learning German, and wish I could speak it half so well; please do take a turn!
