Speak in the same tongue as the other two. "I do hope I've not come across as untoward! I am here to learn, not to purchase." (Bow.)
Revert to the common tongue. "Perhaps another question would be more suitable:"

I had a dream last night about a burning city and an undead creature burning, I asked around and someone told me the Black Cat could be trying to talk with me”
Say this.

"Have you any knowledge of such matters?"

You turn to the gossiping pair and speak in the language they’re using. It doesn’t come to You immediately, but while Your first few words stumble slightly, You speak the language like a native.

I do hope I've not come across as untoward! I am here to learn, not to purchase.

The Human turns red and averts eye contact, while a little smile appears on the Kobold’s face, His eyes aimed squarely at the Human. You bow, and turn back to the old Lady, Who just about manages to stifle a wide grin.

"Perhaps another question would be more suitable: I had a dream last night about a burning city and an undead creature burning, I asked around and someone told me the Black Cat could be trying to talk with me. Have you any knowledge of such matters?"

She thinks for all of two seconds before speaking in a way that suggests She rehearses these details, if not in this order.

‘Ah, the Black Cat. The Black Cat is a more commonly worshipped Deity, usually associated with nighttime, stars, darkness, dreams, and a few others. It’s known by that name for Its usual appearance; a black cat approaching from darkness. Well known for its use of dreams to communicate with Individuals. Dedicated Priests usually gain the ability to communicate with each other through dreams after about a year of dedication. That’s as much as I’d know, but Ciara’d know more if You’d want to talk to Her.’

The Kobold escorts the cringing Human through a small doorway, and once the door closes, You hear hysterical laughter echoing from within.

Where is Clara? I would like to speak with her

‘Ciara, not Clara. If You head into the courtyard, turn left into the Cloister and head into the big Domed Temple. If She’s not there, give me a holler.’

She pats You on Your back, practically pushing You into the Courtyard, before She opens the door that the Kobold and Human left through, closing it gently behind Her. In front of You is a wall with an archway leading to another courtyard, overlooked by a slightly greenish bronze-coated onion dome. To the right, the courtyard extends for a bit before ending sandwiched between two large buildings made entirely of undecorated masonry from walls to roof, with only a few slits on the sides for windows, giving the impression of a hollow, peaked stone block with a few holes. A deep blue banner with a white, eleven stringed harp emblazoned on it hangs over the door of one, and a bright red banner with an elongated grey omega symbol at its centre hangs over the other. To the left, the wall is covered in small shrines, some with statues, some with engravings, some with both, many with small offerings of flowers. Roughly around the middle is a large stone archway, and over the wall You see a large, pointed grey rooftop towering over You.

The courtyard is far from empty. A few Humans mill about the shrines, and two Dwarves to Your right are arguing inaudibly. A single Kobold stands at the far end of the Courtyard, looking about ready to fall asleep at any moment as another Dwarf walks up to Her with a teapot in one hand and two cups in the other. It’s overall pretty quiet here.

The wind is picking up. You shiver in the sudden cold, as Your ragged clothes begin to sway in the breeze.

Examine some of the shrines in more detail, then head into the cloister

You head over to the shrines to have a look. The first one You look at has a small bust of a Kobold and an alter with several dice of differing designs and styles, and a few coins, beads, small shards of crystal, and what looks like a piece of broken pottery with bright green patterns shining in what little sun makes it between the gathering, looming clouds. A small placque underneath names this figure as Goramorniss, a local gambler so famed for His luck that as He approached His deathbed He was forbidden from gambling by most in the City for fear of Him bankruptcy. His spheres include luck, gambling, games, etc. and He acts as a local patron of Gamblers.

You move through a few, before coming to a statue of a tall, heavily armed Woman, with a few flowers and coins scattered around the Statue’s plinth, on which is written (in several different languages this time) a story of a Woman named Áine, who supposedly created the organization known today as the Lentish People’s Constabulary, and acted as its Chief inspector up until Her death at the hands of an invading swarm of Pit Beasts shortly before the modern kite system was set up.

The last one is a statue of a Human with long tendrils growing from his body, which seems to be dissolving. One hand is just over his chin, holding up a beautiful mask behind which His face, just about visible, is covered in tumors, scars, extra eyeballs, and free-flowing blood. The whole thing has been vividly and colourfully painted, by someone Who probably needs to see some help, bringing it to life in a unique way that makes You feel only slightly sick. There’s no inscription, though there’s a few coins and beads left below it, and a few flowers too.

You head into the cloister. The courtyard at the centre of the cloister has a massive, ancient oak tree planted in it, and a sickle has been carved into it. At the far side of the Cloister is a doorway leading to a long hall, the gable end of the roof overshadowing you with a stained glass window of a fish in blue and red and white providing a nice centrepiece. To the left is a smaller doorway into a smaller hall, the gables ending at each end of the Cloister. To the right, however, is a large circular building with a peaked grey roof, the higher parts upheld by flying butresses, with weathered statues in between. Everything here is weathered and beaten. The rooftops that you can see are often missing tiles, moss grows freely on most surfaces, and cracks in the masonry stand out. The buttresses look ready to come crashing down at any moment. From the pair of huge wooden doors, braced with rusting metal, comes an old woman. The old woman you saw before was youthful compared to the primeval matriarch slowly coming towards You, bent over beneath a long cloak and hood. As she notices you standing there, she looks up and speaks. Her voice is gravelly and deep, but still confident in its own ability after who knows how many years of use.

‘Do you need anything... Lass?’

"Oh, yes. I'm here for my offerings you see. My last follower offered me but a piece of silver, which has currently been chopped in half. You would think that guy could have made change with another half piece of silver instead of cutting up a perfectly good full piece. They'll be nothing but half silvers if he keeps up like that. Oh, look at me ramble! So just point me to the statue that looks like me, if you would kind priestess. And maybe the god of Thieves. I'm pretty sure he would be cool with me stealing his coins. It is like his thing.

My god Senses are telling me you are...Clara, one knowledgeable of the Black Cat? I wouldn't mind getting to know them either. You could tell me of them on the way."
