Warring States! Game 1 has finished!

A new game... well, sort-of. I remember playing one game where people were Dukes of British Isles, and tried to create Kingdoms and take control of the whole land.

Some rule questions:

- Can you conquer more than one territory in a turn?
- Can you conquer Zhou before you have a kingdom?

Yeah that's a good question. We don't want players editing their turn after they see what other players have done. A simple workaround would be what we do in Mafia and just ban post editing. You could soften it a bit by banning post editing after someone else has posted (so you can immediately edit to fix a typo, but can't change your action after the fact). Anyone editing their post after someone has posted could be considered not to have acted.

Yes, you can conquer as many adjacencies you want, as long as you dedicate at least 1 Rice (not that your chances will be high, but still).
Yes, you can, it's only unavailable to pick at start. Note that you can also create Kingdom of Zhou, and then conquer any other 3 Kingdom-states, to create a new Empire.

What are the rules on changing orders?

Good question. I will agree with NQH and say that order edits are banned.

I will make it a rule even.

My concern is that encourages players to post last. There's no point in defending a region that is not getting attacked, or putting up a token resistance against overwhelming force for example.

In addition, as an attacker you can focus all your rice on weakly defended provinces, letting your opponent waste their rice defending a province that doesn't get attacked.

I would suggest either forcing a post order that cycles through the game, so that everyone gets to control the initiative on occasion, or make everyone commit their orders secretly so you can't operate with full knowledge of what your opponent will do.

I personally prefer Turn DMs, but a moving turn order would also work.
