The insects you turn into the wasp hive work pretty well. Except for the nightmare-inducing moments when they see food they want and everything collapses into some kind of mass swarm.
The queen part doesn't quite go right, as the wasps need their own queens to keep up their numbers, but they will follow your orders as the one who delivered them this new form of existance.
There is no loot as the battle was a defeat. With no dead kaiju to harvest there was nothing they could return with.
The science goes well, and the pincers certainly work. Your cat-thing is now capable of crushing most kinds of soft metal and cleaving through bone cleanly. Still, there's always more that can be done, and it seems fairly calm and contented at this point. Except it now seems to have discovered how to leap up and hang from the ceiling.
