I liked your fungi controlling scorpions idea.
Ok
Maybe the creations made by the scorpions are nuclear power plants. I like my first proposal too and others can add too to make it work better with the continent

Nuclear mushrooms for the nuclear throne?
Humorous.

Can we add more stuff to the islands after we create the species?

Fact: Bio Continent Sapients
The central nervous system of the bio continent aka sapient species of the continent consists of a civilization of large wasps who have added lungs so that they can grow to large sized regardless of oxygen content. They are a hive mind and they communicate using telepathy. Things that die are often used in their constructions.
Addendum
They also use the scorpions to mine for metals to create metal power plants that also use fission and fusion for power

Certainly. You are welcome to continue to make proposals to refine continents. I encourage you to do so. The more details that are added, the easier it will be to inject RPG mechanics.

Denied. Use biological power sources for the continent of bio tech.

Oops. The addendum was supposed to be for the fungi. I added it to the wrong post. My bad
Fact: Atom Continent Sapients
The sapient creatures of the atom continent are a type of fungus that uses large radioactive land snails that have evolved the ability to collect protons and neutrons in separate compartments in their shells from the food they eat. The fungi trap the snails and use their ability to control nuclear fusion and fission to power themselves and their very conductive creations. They release spores to control large scorpions to gather the snails and the conductive metals for their creations.
Addendum
They also use the scorpions to mine for metals to create metal power plants that also use fission and fusion for power

Fact: Clockwork Animals
All of the animals on the clockwork island are clockwork.

How does carnivorism work with clockwork animals?

Maybe eating bits of the other animals is what winds them up.

I don't think that makes sense.

What if their inner parts degrade faster because of their speed, so they would have to continue integrating parts of other creatures into their systems to continue functioning?

Yes, you are right. Maybe instead of carnovory, the creatures can be powered by heat from the sun, since metals are good at conducting heat.
Fact: Metal photosynthetic animals
There are metal creatures on the Clockwork Continent that move with the sun to get heat which powers their gears.
