...you mean Ancient DNA, not Alien DNA, SC. That, and the description for Ancient DNA missions implies we raid what the humans have already collected, like museum collections. The Amazon doesn't have much in the way of preserved animals, the only thing you'd find in the Indus river valley would be anatomically modern humans, and conducting our own digs would be a bit of a stretch.

Yeah I wasn't really thinking that the aliens would actually perform a long-term excavation, but the smash’n’grab that is stated in the mission description. Anyways, to say that India or other countries are lacking in museums or other sources of ”Ancient DNA Stockpiles” would be a bit of a misnomer, Brazil was chosen because you would hope that maybe it be a less concerning area for Xcom to attack at or be more distanced away from their bases. Anyways if your going for the country that has the most ample amount of ancient DNA stockpiles than the obvious USA and UK would be the best sources of that respective resource. Also the alien and ancient thing mix-up was my bad, I was still thinking of the alien squads to still ”assault” or breach areas that are loaded with ancient dna.

Edit: Also Plan revised with this information.

Still says Alien DNA, not Ancient.
Anyway, I somewhat prefer SC’s plan, though I would swap the Indian Meld for PDWs on the other two missions- we don’t want to risk losing Meld in large quantities, certainly not if it comes at the cost of under-arming two missions. So mainly what I prefer is that Canada is an infiltrate mission, rather than an abduction, and that base bonuses are invoked.

Yeah, that looks good. I mean, maybe add a note to the Canada mission that we're investigating the signal, but ebbor probably understands that.

E: I notice that SC edited his plan with my suggestions as well. This has rendered Attack in Breadth v2 and First Blood almost identical. The only non-aesthetic difference is which countries are targeted. I don't think it'll make a huge difference. Like, targeting India might be a bad idea, were it not T1, where XCOM has no prior information to go off of. So long as we switch up which countries we target in future such that we don't make it obvious that we favour India or Nigeria, it probably won't hurt to do a mission there this turn. Targeting Brazil might be better than France, considering XCOM is less likely to have a base there, for the same reason we didn't want to put a base there (I'm assuming XCOM has a similar setup to us re:bases, which might be wrong).
Point is, since First Blood will have more votes if I switch to it, I'm going to do so, just to speed up consensus. If someone has a good argument as to why Attack in Breadth's choice of countries would be superior, I'll consider it.

I hadn't realised they'd edited either. Clearly the cool mission names are what should swing you in favour of Attack in Breadth. But hey, maybe Ebbor will use some swish names anyway.

Well, we can start planning our revision already. I mean, it's going to be fixing the Chariot, the only question is how.
It seems the main problem is the charioteer's mental state- fix that, and everything else, whilst not perfect, should still function. So, something like this should work:

Quote
Charioteer Identity Fix:
The Charioteer has an unsound mind due to some flawed genetic engineering, but we can fix it. A slight rewiring of brain functions and a mental training programme will serve to make the Charioteer secure in its own identity; proud, even, of its unique status. No longer suicidally inclined to abandon its vessel, it will also no longer sing in such a discordant manner- the more confident song will better harmonise with the Ophanim Choir, the rich bass complimenting rather than clashing with the ongoing melody.

So, I proposed a revision above which ought to fix the Chariot's main problem (assuming it rolls reasonably). But I'll hold off on voting for it immediately, in case anyone has an alternative Chariot-fixing revision.
A revision not designed to fix the Chariot is, uh, not likely to win my vote.

I'm happy with yours NUKE. It seems to directly target the issue, in a straightforward manner.

I'd personally like some "Also if we have time, fix the cybernetics a bit" but, this is fine.

Hmm? The cybernetics are the one thing that aren't broken, though? The Charioteer is mad, and without the Charioteer controlling things the mechanical aspects tend to break down, but I'm not seeing any mention of the interface between the two having problems.

Maybe add in some proper sensors on the outside so it doesn't end up feeling trapped.
