Anyway, we need a relationship from Kittytac and then we can cycle back again.

A Tealcat stumbles upon a Catnip stalk. It gently bites it, and starts rolling on the floor and pawing at things out of happiness.

Tealcats eat Catnip and get pleasure out of it.

Some Saerics encounter the Suntrees, and, feeling the warmth they give, being to eat their fruits, both for sustenance and to warm them when they grow too cold.

(I put it in lime green because the consumption of fruits not only isn’t harmful to the plants they grow on, but also results in the spreading of the plants’ seeds via the wasted by-products of consumption in new locations.)

The defenceless nymphs are easily caught by the Tealcats, but the lucky ones hide amongst the Suntrees and take shelter within ponds and water. The nymphs do not need to breathe, but they do need mana. The nymphs living among the Suntree forests grow weak die from lack of mana, as the forests are too warm for Icefluff. The nymphs who come to live within the waters grow strong and smart, from the mana upstream. The wiser nymphs try teaching newborns the awesomeness of mana, and after many cycles of death and birth, the nymphs gain an affinity for sensing mana, because it is like food to them. One day a herd of Snowstubs come to drink from the nymphs' home, and the curious newborns frolic with them all day. When it comes time for the Snowstubs to leave, some nymphs join them out of playfulness. Playfulness becomes curiosity, and curiosity becomes fear. The mana emitted from the Snowstub wool is quickly left behind on their migration, and most of the traveling nymphs perish... The Saerics find the survivors and try to tame them, but their first attempts fail due to lack of mana. When the Saerics try to eat the dying nymphs they realize that they are made of mana, and thus inedible. A revelation is made, and a few of the nymphs are kept as pets. What the wiser Saerics and water nymphs discovered, is that water nymphs need Icefluff to survive.

tl;dr - Water nymphs live near Icefluff.

((Hmm, I recommend setting the ground work for that by having them being preyed upon. In the future or it just seems like they are paranoid.))

Among the Suntrees is a group of Catnip, currently residing on the floor. Since they take up more nutrients in the soil, Catnip prevents harmful weeds to the Suntrees from growing.

((Yeah I had visualizations of cats chasing birds, not necessarily for food. Since nymphs just explode into mana when they die. I'm sure regular housecats would love to chase water nymphs.))

((Nymphs' bodies are composed of mana and water vapour. They weigh very little, and will die when gripped tightly, stabbed, or impacted by a strong force. A nymph with high mana density can regenerate injured limbs while conscious, but a weakened nymph explodes into mana and water vapour. When a healthy nymph is killed, their mana creates an electric shock; ionizing the air to create yellow sparks. Holding a nymph as it dies will instead ground the electricity to produce a weak electric jolt through the attacker's body. When an unopened goodberry flowerbuds is shaken or squeezed with an unborn nymph inside, a similar effect is produced. Nymphs behave like a flock of sparrows; flying away when one gets startled, and swarming attackers when one nymph is in trouble. This is highly ineffective!))

One Tealcat notices that wandering nymphs are not likely to notice a hiding predator (like itself) if it's hidden in some sort of flora. This could be exploited easily...

Tealcats ambush nymphs.
