Let  North continue to manage  research affairs and spiderling negotiations, with an emphasis on marketing the new photosynthetic process.

South is to return back to the fortress, and begin planning for a long-term campaign against the sands.

East and the deer-men are to continue working on the machine, expanding it to have a "passive" mode that draws from sand as well.

Gral will go investigate the West's mission, noting the lack of contact.

"Shit I did something wrong again, I'm gonna give up for a bit and come back to this later."
Smash the mushrooms with a block, then burn whats left of them just in case their poisonous, then try to make ink.

1 v 5
2

Dr. Bob picks up yet another of the glass blocks, this time so that he can throw it at the mushrooms that have sprouted in his tower. It shatters into a million pieces when it hits the path of toadstools - just not before crushing a good many of them into paste. An entire cloud of spores is dislodged by the impact, and Bob gets a good whiff of them before remembering to hold his breath. It takes only a moment for him to make a few sparks of fire, but by that time he's already feeling a bit woozy. The faces on the walls are distracting, too. Whose idea was it to make them gibber like that?

The sparks become rainbows. When he tries to make ink, that becomes rainbows too, but they're rainbows that pool on the floor whilst having a fascinating conversation about the weather. Lots of rain lately, eh? It's a relief after all the dryness we had last eternity! And are those tremors in the ground?

Get back to the web, work with spiderlings on fixing damage

Nazir: 5 & Spiderlings: 2

Nazir crawls up the nearest strand of webbing and returns to the site of the battle, where various Spiderling factions are restoring order and seeing to their wounded. The broken thread itself has been evacuated, since both ends are now hanging vertically from their nearest anchor points. Fortunately, the damage seems far more severe that it actually is. It would be a simple matter for Nazir to spin an entirely new strand of webbing to replace what has been lost. Instead, it merely uses a coil of thinner, stickier webbing to hold the damaged parts together.

When the patch is finished, the Primelings and Ironweavers spin additional layers of their own. The silk-and-steel framework that they create might actually make this section of the web sturdier than it was before breaking.

"hmm, how you commanded on the rest of the fragmentss? And why were you fighting the dustwalkers anyway?"
Try learn on what the fragments are and what they do now that the sand left them

"We are all Nothing. So can talk between minds. Is helpful! You should try. I command because am large Fragment, with body."

"Looking for... place to be? Big, important thing stolen from sand. Lost without it. Think Dustwalkers maybe have?"

Drop off Awake in a relatively safe place and then get stared on the canal Gral mentioned earlier

3

Ira deposits Awake on a sand dune. It's not especially safe or comfortable, but the Shardform doesn't seem to care. It isn't as if he's complaining. Or doing anything else, for that matter, but perhaps that has something to do with being tied up. Despite snatching him from the mandibles of death, the World-eater isn't curious enough to investigate. Instead she worries about ways to dig a canal for the contractor.

The first order of business is to secure a supply of fresh water, so Ira goes directly to the Wetlands. She chooses a particularly large lake to act as her reservoir, then dredges it by taking three massive bites out of the sand below. More water rushes in from the surrounding streams, doubling the lake's capacity. It should also refill quickly, if the constant deluge of rain is anything to go by. The World-Eater is confident enough in her choice to move to the nest stage, the digging of the canal itself.

She tunnels across the topmost layer of the sand, close enough to the surface to make a visible depression in the desert. Ira digs quickly enough to reach the Wetlands, the Tower, the Bone Fortress, and even the Shifting Bog after only a few hours of work, but making a canal entirely out of sand may not have been the best choice. It's so shallow that water overflows the banks, which simultaneously causes flooding near the Glass Tower and prevents some more far-flung locations from receiving any irrigation at all.

Hynsyr will now gather the Prismatic once more and attempt to teach them to use the connection all Lightfolk have with Yig/Einyar to contact Hynsyr in the form of Prayer Messages.

3

Hynsyr summons the Prismatics to the Temple of Yig, where their connection with the First Tribute and the Golden Sea should be particularly strong. When they are all present he introduces them to another form of magic, far more subtle than their powers of creation. Rather than an outpouring of raw power, it is a mental state that will allow them to harness their bond with Hynsyr's soul-shards, allowing them to transmit thoughts and feelings directly to their creator.

It doesn't take them long to grasp the fundamentals of prayer. Hynsyr becomes aware of seven distinct streams of emotion flowing to him through Yig, ranging from awe to worry to a vague sense of accomplishment. Even so, it seems that precise control is still beyond their reach. The Prismatics themselves cannot sense whether their prayers are received, and concepts invariably end up jumbled when they try transmitting complete thoughts. The most magically-inclined works out a way to send messages in a kind of rudimentary morse code, by periodically turning prayer off and on, but even that requires a great deal of focus.

Gral will go investigate the West's mission, noting the lack of contact.

Spoiler: Rolls (click to show/hide)

North launches an advertising campaign revolving around the new photosynthesis weaving. Everything is going smoothly, up until one of the researchers mentions the flawed prototype. The Merchant is forced to run damage control rather than selling its wares. Even then, it becomes impossible to establish any large-scale deals with other tribes.

South initiates a retreat to the Bone Fortress, where it founds an impromptu war council. Several prominent Dustwalkers, the Three-Headed-Worm, and the Merchant itself work out a plan of attack that could temporarily disable the sand's defensive capabilities. It would likely cost most of the attackers their lives, but if carried out to the letter it might provide an opening for some powerful entity to kill the desert for good.

The Merchant of the East scraps the original set of schematics. Instead, it has the Deer-Men create metal prongs that extend into deep into sand. Each spike is imbued with a spell that tears vitality away and funnels it into the machine, where it can then be redistributed to another place of the operator's choosing. Once everything is placed, the Merchant makes everyone else evacuate and experimentally flips the switch.

There is a moment of absolute chaos. Tremors rise from beneath the ground, causing sand to pitch and roll. Particulate eyes form for the sole purpose of glaring at the Merchant, or staring at its machine in shock. Tendrils of sand unfurl themselves and reach for the device, but they collapse under their own weight when they touch it. The scattered remnants transform into soil.

An eye forms in the center of the storm as the Machine whirs to life. Within it the ground is made of dirt rather than sand, enriched with stolen vitality. The stand still pulses with rage, particularly around the edges of the machine's area of effect, but it cannot enter without sacrificing more of its mass.

Gral flies to the last known position of the Merchant of the West. The Merchant, its retinue, and the Shardforms themselves are all long gone, but they left behind a trail of metallic fragments. Gral follows it to the Shifting Bog, where he finds his troops huddled on the very edge of the marsh. They're partially surrounded by Shardforms, which are picking off Spiderlings that wander too far from the rest of the group.

Approve the  war  plan, and send the Ironwinged to make weapons  in preparation for it.

Have North continue damage-control, and East use the machine to rip the water away from the Glass Tower, and then fertilize more of the surrounding area.

Make the Shardforms understand, and then negotiate.

"Oh god the rainbows are screaming, the walls are bleeding, and I have to get out of here!"
Get out of the tower and away from any water, then sit down for a bit.

5

Dr. Bob runs down the Tower's central staircase. He does his best not to look at anything for too long, particularly the faces, but he can't hear anything over their screams. Eventually he just lets go of the banister so that he can shove his fingers into his ears. That actually does help a little, at least until blood starts oozing out of the floor. It writes crimson messages for him. Or at least one message, repeated thousands upon millions of times: Infinite lies. Infinity lies. Lies like flies. Infinite lies...

He bursts out of the ground-floor entrance and puts some distance between himself and the moat. The rain has deposited water everywhere, so he just keeps moving until he's at the border between the wetlands and the desert proper. When there's nothing ahead of him but flat, empty sand, he sits down and does his best to ignore the sandstorm out to the East. It's probably just a hallucination, like the rainbows and smiley-faces hanging in  the sky. They're fading now that Bob has gotten some fresh air. That probably means they're hallucinations, right?

Eventually all the other absurd visual glitches stop, but there's still a sandstorm raging in the distance. When his ears stop ringing, he can even hear shouts of alarm coming from the same general area. They sound a lot like the voices of Deer-Men.

Gather willing militant weavers and primelings with their sentinel legions and head to assist dustwalkers in their military operation, observe if primelings developed as personalities and if their legions grew up to differ between each other in tactics

Nazir shoots a strand of silk upwards and hoists himself to his nest at the top of the web. Representatives of various clans are milling around, some of them familiar faces from the last Council. The largest crowd is listening to a steel bird that looks like it might have something to do with Gral. It's answering questions about some kind of photosynthesis-enhancement treatment, occasionally consulting with an Aetherweaver or one of the Ironwinged accompanying it. They seem confident in the Weaving, but other Spiderlings are mumbling something about a disease that burns people up from the inside. Oversight from the Primelings is probably the only thing preventing a riot.

They can still spare at least seven of their number, plus the troops under their command. They've apparently divided their Sentinels into ten legions, each under direct supervision of a Primeling. The demigods have developed rudimentary personalities in Nazir's absence, and a few have even chosen names, but as of right now their Sentinels seem mostly interchangeable. The only exception is the Tenth Legion, under a Primeling called Parun, which is dedicated to diplomacy. They've just returned from negotiations with the Lightfolk.

As Nazir leads seven of the other Primelings to the Bone Fortress, he takes note of ones with particularly distinct personality traits. One has decided to call himself Ekhor. He is louder and more boastful than his siblings, but seems to have the martial prowess to back it up. He wears a larger version of Sentinel Plate, and has trained extensively to use its magic to the maximum possible effect.

Another of the demigods catches Nazir's eye just as they are about to reach the Fortress. She is unnamed, but he remembers that she is the one born with mental abnormalities. They seem to have become more pronounced over time, judging by her tendency to stare at random objects for hours on end. For all that, she is apparently some kind of tactical genius. Nazir doesn't get a chance to see her in action, but a Sentinel tells him that she single-leggedly defeated three other legions in a mock battle.

"I don't know about it now, but we can try something else"
Take the sand eating goo that I took with me a Concentrate it to one area, solidify the middle area while letting the edge keep consuming.

1

While AJAMA extracts sand-eating ooze from the wall, Apollyon returns to making bodies for the other Fragments. The Demiurge gets a closer look at the possessed blobs of ooze, which actually seem to work in much the same was as the ooze-born body that it is currently inhabiting. The Fragments maintain a separation of mind and body, and can even dislodge themselves from their new forms if need be, but they seem to degrade over time if they don't have a physical mass to inhabit.

Once most of the ooze that AJAMA is isolating has been accounted for, it uses its mind to apply pressure to the edges of the mass. The ooze buckles inwards, and in the center of the ball it becomes far more dense. The most concentrated material solidifies, transforming into a brittle black material with properties similar to stone. The primordial applies more force, in a bid to shut down the core's assimilation, but it shatters under the increased pressure. Chunks of black material fly in random directions. One pierces AJAMA's skin. Others whiz past Apollyon and splash through embodied Fragments.

Ira decides to test out her new nothingness powers since she didn't really have time to test the extent to which she could control them before

2

Ira reaches for the Nothingness inside her and wills it to pour out. The easiest way to use it is simply to exhale, creating the corrosive gas that she used while fighting on the Web. She can also release it in other ways, most notably by spitting up different kinds of Non-material or allowing it to clot in her wounds. Manipulating her connections with the rest of the Nothingness is also possible, although it doesn't come to her quite as easily. After meditating for a while she works out how to recognize and locate specific entities, which she tests by tracking a small group of demons.

The monsters acknowledge Ira's presence without attacking her. She can sense vague feelings of confusion coming from them, but in other respects they're about as talkative as they were before. Further attempts to communicate are met with nothing but silence.

The World-Eater's heartbeat grows stronger, and for a brief moment she can feel other powers brushing up against her mind. Perhaps they will come to her, in time.

Hynsyr continues to work with Prismatics on their Prayer-Messaging.

4

Hynsyr individually walks each of the Prismatics through a simple prayer. They are still uncertain, but with his guidance they are able to communicate clearly, and to confirm that their message was successful. Something clicks after they repeat the exercise a few times, and suddenly it is far easier for them to get themselves in the right frame of mind. The Titan's mind rings with their exclamations, scattered mental discourse, and once even a brief glimpse through a Prismatic's eyes. The mortals are intrigued when he tells them about the accidental sense-transmission. It turns out that they do have the ability to merge their minds with his on a more fundamental level. They resolve to hone that ability on their own time, although mastering it will probably take long hours of practice.
