Seeing all his comrades dead, the huntsman put his bow away and raised his hands.

"W-Wait! Don't kill me! We can talk this over, right? Right??" The Princess did not respond, possibly leaving it to others, as she healed Jill, Johannes and all others.

"Ah, willing to talk? How nice..."

Rowan looks towards his companions and the two newcomers before returning his gaze to the huntsman, slowly closing in to him until they're just outside arm's reach of each other.

"The deaths of your comrades could have been entirely avoided if you've started talking from the get-go. Oh, but I know what you've thought... You thought we were just few and the princess would be an easy target. But you thought wrong. Did you really believe Her Highness would be accompanied by mere amateurs? If you really did so, then you are a fool and being a village idiot would be more fitting to you than being a highwayman. With your decision to attack us, you all have sealed your fate. YOU have your comrades' blood on your hands!"

"No-not my fault! It was Ari and Sigurd who took on the job, despite Irmhild's hesitations! They told us it would be a simple one..."

Priscilla took a moment to make sure the Princess was unharmed before she nodded to herself. She strode over to the archer and roughly patted him down for any weapons before shoving him on to his knees. She took up position behind him, axe resting on her shoulder, and it was only then she spoke.
"Who hired you? How did you know we were coming here? Are there more of you ahead? Answer quickly and well if you want to keep your head."

[Haspen]

"I-I don't know, some noblemen, Sigurd struck the deals! But the foreigners who came with Sigurd told us where to ambush you..."

Right afterwards, Albrecht rode his horse closer.

"Apologies for not introducing myself earlier. Albrecht Licht, Joachim's retainer and cousin. Is the princess alright to talk? She seemed absent-minded when she tended to me... I wanted to ask if someone intercepted Princess' invitation to the meeting, considering the ambush..."

"I'm not too much of a fan of interrogation." Johannes yawns. "I have something of a distaste for it... although I'm not inexperienced."

"First off... Tell us more about those foreigners. What country did they come from? Second... answer Priscilla's question. Are there more of you ahead? And do you know anything about the noblemen?"

"Speak now. Tell us everything. And if you wish not to say anything..." Johannes says as he puts his finger up to his mouth. He then takes it off and seems to blow a wisp of flame. "I can improvise."

Johannes was a bounty hunter, so I figured he would know how to do this. He got his act together now, I guess.

@Les interrogateurs:

"N-no idea... I've overhead them once, and they spoke Herzgottian, like everyone around here. And, uh, um, there's Ari and his mercenaries, but I do not know where they went..."

"Where they mostly archers and horsemen, led by a young swordsman?"

"Y-yes." Albrecht nodded.

"Then it was the group that tried to ambush Joachim. Plenty sure we left no survivors."

"Don't... don't mention it, Venza." The Princess glanced at he bodies, and clutched her staff hard before turning her gaze away.

"If this is all because of me..." The Princess drew in a deep, yet shaky breath.

Priscilla nodded to Albrecht as he rode closer.
"Priscilla van den Boore," she said by way of introduction. "You came at a good time. The Princess will be fine; she's just not used to the bloodshed of battle."
She casually cuffed the archer round the side of the head.
"This filth is the second group to try to ambush us. Whoever was behind this had plenty of clout."
