Have the artchers continue to fire at the rams, while the some of our men get ready to take out the people using ladders and the rest get ready to attack any that get through the walls

"(6 vs 1)(5 vs 3) Due to a bad shooting angle, the archers fail to hit any rams, but the axe throwers have managed to hit several ladders and the troops that carry them. (4 vs 1)(1 vs 1) After another strike, the eastern wall gets breached by the Sardinian rams, while the rams near the northern gate had a malfunction, resulting in the log that's used for ramming to fall out from the siege engine."

"(4 vs 5)(5 vs 5)(6 vs 4) The Sardinian ladders reach the walls and a bloodbath on the walls ensues. The archers and axe throwers on the northern wall suffer casualties, as the Sardinian swordsmen swarm the walls. Meanwhile, on the eastern breach and western wall, the Sardinians get pushed back by Norse heavy axemen, atgeir wielders, and the elite troops. In the case of the wall breach in the east, the Sardinians have inflicted much more damage, and are still in the fight."


Eastern wall has been breached! The ladders are here! The reinforcements will arrive in two turns!
Casualties: -15 archers and -10 axe throwers, -10 heavy axemen, -6 atgeir wielders, -2 elite infantry.

"(2 vs 2)(6 vs 2) The axe throwers have managed to push back the onslaught of Sardinian swordsmen, but the archers have forgotten to ignite their arrows before shooting at the rams. (2) The Sardinian engineers fail to repair the rams this turn."

"(5 vs 4+1 for overwhelming numbers)(6 vs 5) As the Sardinians fail to take the western wall, they go around the castle and join forces in the eastern wall breach. Bloodbath ensues, and both sides have lost a lot of troops. To the surprise of Norsemen, once the western wall's garrison's thinned out to help the fighting near the eastern breach, a medium group of Sardinian spearmen climb the western wall and seriously damage the stationed Viking troops."


The reinforcements will arrive in a turn. -15 axe throwers, -35 heavy axemen, -10 atgeir wielders, -3 elite infantry, -2 housecarls, -10 archers.

((OOC: Sorry, I forgot about this place yesterday, so to make up for the mistake, I'll also update the game tomorrow.))

"(5 vs 6)(2 vs 5) Axe throwers and archers unleash a volley upon the rams and the Sardinians below the northern gates, but Sardinian troops hurry up and rush near the gate. On the western wall, the Vikings get pushed away, desperately routing to the axe throwers and archers."

"(1 vs 5+1 for overwhelming numbers) Tired and overwhelmed, the Norsemen crack under the pressure and retreat deeper into the town, suffering massive casualties. (6 vs 5) Without any fanfare, the Norse reinforcements have arrived, and they've immediately climbed up the western wall and started fighting the splinter squad of Sardinians, sandwiching them. The Sardinian king has decided to get down to the business, and so he rode inside the ruined town through the wall breach on his horse, escorted by his elite knights."


The reinforcements are here: +75 heavy axemen, +50 archers and atgeir wielders! Casualties: -65 heavy axemen, -20 atgeir wielders, -26 axe throwers and archers, -6 elite infantry. Total: +10 heavy axemen, +34 archers, +30 atgeir wielders, -26 axe throwers, -6 elite infantry.

"(5 vs 6)(3 vs 2) Tod, accompanied by his housecarls and and a dozen of atgeir wielders, has decided to desperately attack the king in order to demoralize Sardinians and make them flee. The atgeir wielders were close to reaching the king and his bodyguards, but were stopped short by the swarm of Sardinian infantry. Tod and his housecarls, however, have managed to brute force their way to the Sardinian king, but have only managed to kill a couple of bodyguards of the king."

"(4 vs 5-1 for being sandwiched)(4 vs 3) Meanwhile on the western and northern walls of the town, the Sardinian troops got surrounded from both sides, and so they fight fiercely against the pushing Norsemen. The Norse archers have managed to finally hit the now-broken rams with their fire arrows, resulting in the Sardinian engineers to abandon the siege engines."


-4 atgeir wielders, -6 heavy axemen, -8 axe throwers.
