Question from a new player. For species what are the limits to what you can be? Since I have several ideas for alien races that I have just sort of floating around in my head and there is one I would like to use. The species in question are called star banshees, and don't truly have a physical form, being an self sustaining/replicating energy pattern able to spread themselves across anything that can store said pattern (Wiring, nervous systems, certain types of minerals, etc). They can subvert computing systems with disturbing ease, be they organic or electronic, and are really smart. While they Could have powers that let them interact with the world outside of controlling existing mechanisms, probably by being able to somewhat manipulate matter so long as it was connected to whatever their pattern was in, I'll leave any abilities up to you. As for weaknesses, not being able to move without assistance unless they can hijack a body, constant high energy requirements (they evolved inside of stars so they need a constant flow of energy to survive/thrive, though they aren't picky what kind of energy that is), and a vulnerability to energy based weapons along with specialized programs designed to counter them, that and how they are hated by basically everyone due to having a bad rep of hijacking ships that fly to close to a solar flare from one of the stars that are their natural habitat, and then killing everyone on board the ship they took control of.

That just sounds like too much like a godlike species, so I am going to say no to that one. I would prefer if you stay away from corporeal species, energy species, and cosmozoans. Maybe in the next game we can have those kinds of species.

Ahem, all ships have an AI core, you just haven't asked about the Damnatio Mundi's yet. But I can already tell you that they will be the same. Now did you still want to install it or just loot it.
Pirate officers handed over to the officials, the AI core in the escort will take about an hour to remove.

The commander of the space port tells you that pirate hunting is always needed in the frontier. You unlocked bounties, certain pirates, criminals, and even military officials will be high enough on the illegal list that a big amount of SC will be paid. But you have to at least bring the head of the bounty back, the entire person would be great, but the head is all that is needed for id.
With all this power and the other AIs helping you are able to pinpoint exactly where your homeworld is/was, in the The Conduit empire, and empire of AI and currently in an energy crises. From what you are able to gather it was in the Gamma galaxy near the border with the Zorg.

Alpha-Theta 435 has gotten a new personal mission: to see if anyone from your old empire is still alive/online. This is a continuing mission.
The Group has gotten a new goal: to find a bounty and bring him in. When this is complete the group goal will upgrade.
GM Notes: I have now started to give personal missions and goals. You do not have to do them, but it is what your characters would want to do following in the next step. Right now only the main group and Alpha-Theta 435 have goals/missions this will change as the rest of you revel your characters and their stories.
