Give some quick orders for other orcs to guard the entrances, the ranger might manage to bypass us or double back, then head off in pursuit.  Watch for traps.

You march all the way back to the outpost to see that everything is on fire! Everything. Even the occupants. There's a giant pile of bodies in the courtyard. It is on fire. The tribal elders have their heads mounted on gondorian spears that are now decorating what used to be a gatehouse.

From the ruins, an old orc stumbles towards your warband. You recognize him as the black smith.

"Reprisals... for caravan raids." He croaks, pointing a charred bony finger at you... "And it's all YOUR fault!"

You don't have a stronghold anymore, but you have a pile of iron, and a grumpy and slightly sauteed blacksmith. Go figure.

Explain that you had taken dwarves that were mining. You know better than to target huge caravans. You did see something on 1 of the others equipment.

Blame it on Egan, then have everyone put out the fires, find any survivors and feed them.

There are no survivors. Just rubble and an angry blacksmith.

You manage to sell... the desire for vengeance to the blacksmith. He realizes that humans must be stood up to. And that your crew will help him do that. The blacksmith follows you back to Castle Durthang.

Have the blacksmith create longswords and shields for our orcs out of the Iron.


Also, can I get 2 Exp for selling that Line of 5?

Set up camp and have my orcs make clay from the earth and water. Bake them into bricks, and then Form the Kiln. Blacksmith watches and directs the process.

We'll be doing just that this turn. Get to work everyone!

You find spare wood for charcoal and make clay kilns out of baked bricks. The blacksmith decides your furnaces are satisfactory for steel production.

Troll's turn:

The troll is enraged at the sight of the bonked ranger, and charges forward. Bits of mine start collapsing under its weight. The orcs run out of its way and it manages to crush the ranger it was trying to save.
