Like before, this entire place is basically absence of space to your eyes. Their inability to see "magic" means this entire place is a wash for your special vision.

Does the environment being magic also interfere with my ability to eg. use wizard eyes on people walking around here (assuming said people are non-magic)?

: We seem to have picked up a 'tail'. Some pilgrims that are a bit too excited about whatever it is we might potentially do. Do you think we should do something about them? I could try convincing them they should keep their distance, for their safety. Or we could just scare them away, but I don't think that would help our reputation. Plus, it would not feel right to leave them in the tunnels undefended, even though it's their own lack of good judgment that brought them here. You hu- guys know best when it comes to matters of the church and how these sort of people think, so I'd like to hear your opinion first. :

Description: A young man of slightly pale complexion and eternal 9 o’clock shadow, he was raised in a small village. While the village priest and passing mystics droned with endless sermons of the Church and their teachings, what had always captivated young Adam’s attention more were the stories of his Granny.
Old stories of the world as it once was, before people were forced to flee to the caves and crannies of this damp hell. Of warm days where pleasant green plants tickled your feet as you walked through them and a cool breeze blew through your hair. Where food was plentiful, nature was benign and endless vistas reached as far as they eye could see.
Adam was nominally a card-carrying member of the church, though he mostly did it for the connections and perks that brought. They were powerful and had ancient lore, all things he would need to fulfill his true heart’s desire: to return to the surface, vanquish the madness that tainted their homeland and reconquer paradise.
After his encounter with a Word of God, the edges of his vision are flickering with black flame and his skin is extremely pale with what appear to be black veins instead of the normal blue ones. It also forced him to reevaluate his views on the cthonic church and god.
Goal: Plunge the secrets of the depths below to find an answer to the horrors above.

Kara announces to everyone the danger of staying nearby and the need for them to back up. She then proceeds to walk towards them, making hand gestures and telling them repeatedly to back up, that there is nothing to see here, that everything is fine, and to return to their homes. She manages to back them all a good few hundred feet up before telling them to at least stay this far away.  She gets the feeling they'll probably start slowly weaseling back towards the group over time but for the moment they're safe. Well, safe as can be for whats about to happen.

Take the crawler a bit further down the tunnel, maybe just before the door becomes visible, so that we can easily reach it and use it to run away quickly, should it come to that.

"Alex, AsHul, I'll have Crystal Friend on standby close to you. The moment things get dangerous, I want you to get on it. I'll order it to take you back to the Crawler as fast as it can."

Have Crystal Friend on standby close to Alex and AsHul. The idea being that if things go south I'll order it to come back so that they can ride it back to the crawler.

Set up the telegrabber somewhere near the crawler, aiming at the Cist door. Transfer the Scope and Bipod from the Ethral Rifle to it, if it would help. If things turn really badly I might be able to grab Alex's head before running and then have AsHul revive him. Again. The stasis enchantment should help keep his head "fresh".
