AsHul chats idly with whichever of the bore team happens by, exchanging information

"How was your trip? Uneventful, I assume? We seem to have lost radio contact. Was there an issue along the line? A cave in or something?

We who remained here struggled to complete our task -a vision quest set by the local church to test out their new vision chamber. We encountered several hardships within, and suffered several setbacks, though in the end we were successful, and all returned safely and in good health. We argued a little withe the chruch about compensation, and they were gracious enough to pay a bit more for our troubles. I believe we remain in good standing with the local church as well, though they may not give us preferential treatment in the future.

Ah! our noble Schluck, Mr Clate, has gone and turned himself into a being of crystal! He seems to remain in control of his facilities, though communication is a bit more of a challenge. However, his craftmanship is undiminished, even remarkable. He made another guitar for me, out of stone and crystal. Once I am recovered from my latest musical endeavors, I intend to tease out it's secrets - it seems to have an otherworldy sound to it, and I am excited to hear what that will do to my art."

I thought you quys were doing bore upgrades instead of pay? Thats what I believe...it was Paris was setting up right?

The bore upgrade we got from the Ethral was for our help with the magamaflow disaster I believe, but wasn't related to our digging of a new tunnel and laying comms cable. IIRC, which I may not.

Either way, observe the members of our gang that did the other quest with some wizard eyes, especially the abom and Clate.

Description: A young man of slightly pale complexion and eternal 9 o’clock shadow, he was raised in a small village. While the village priest and passing mystics droned with endless sermons of the Church and their teachings, what had always captivated young Adam’s attention more were the stories of his Granny.
Old stories of the world as it once was, before people were forced to flee to the caves and crannies of this damp hell. Of warm days where pleasant green plants tickled your feet as you walked through them and a cool breeze blew through your hair. Where food was plentiful, nature was benign and endless vistas reached as far as they eye could see.
Adam was nominally a card-carrying member of the church, though he mostly did it for the connections and perks that brought. They were powerful and had ancient lore, all things he would need to fulfill his true heart’s desire: to return to the surface, vanquish the madness that tainted their homeland and reconquer paradise.
After his encounter with a Word of God, the edges of his vision are flickering with black flame and his skin is extremely pale with what appear to be black veins instead of the normal blue ones. It also forced him to reevaluate his views on the cthonic church and god.
Goal: Plunge the secrets of the depths below to find an answer to the horrors above.

I'm not exactly a faithful person, but martial arts and religion tend to go together. Lets see if there are some chthonic monks in this place that could teach me some self-defense moves while the rest of the group is busy. Clate is....where is Clate these days? Oh he's a giant crystal? Oh ok.  Hmm, there's something odd about him. There's a short of odd shimmer around him that extends out in all directions, but you can only really see it when you concentrate.

The abomination has something behind him, hovering there, omnidirectional, visible from all angles. You recognize it very well: its the map of the spheres blazing away in flickering golden light. One of the spheres is lit up and seems to be feeding fine wisps of light into the Abomination.
