Y'know you can sell old accounts for marketing purposes
For real?! Hot damn, time to exhume all my old accounts from forums across the interwebs.

On-topic, though, I've been mostly playing the wonderful Soulforged, along with various games in my Steam library here and there.
As a side-note, what the flying fuck happened to the Steam library since last time I looked at it?!

I've decided to learn the art of Petri-Net programming, in a programming language called "Factorio".

I just performed a spectacular swan-dive turned belly-flop into the systems of Atelier Ryza. It's gotten a lot more attention than predecessors in the long-running series mainly because of... thighs (no joke), so you can bet your butt the anime is dialed up to 11, which is fine because I'm only half human; the other half is otaku trash.

I came for the anime, but I stayed for the ridiculously engrossing crafting system--in all seriousness. The game, despite its leisurely tone, has me scrambling around constantly:

> If I could just get a FISH I could unlock trait slots for this sword and make it even stronger but I can't get a fish because I don't have a fishing rod!
> To make a fishing rod I need BAIT. Where is the BAIT?!
> Okay, got the bait. Now I make the rod... but damn, if I just had a higher-quality ALCHEMY FIBER I could make this fishing rod catch more fish. Where do I get ALCHEMY FIBER?
> Ah, I see, I morph it from the cloth recipe. But all of my current cloth constituent ingredients suck. Where can I find some better THREAD?
> ... Wait, wasn't I trying to make a sword or something?

And so the cycle continues, and I set aside my journey to weebdom in exchange for the endless pursuit of power.

Never heard of that. Is it like stardew valley but for filthy weebs?

It's more like a crafting-heavy RPG for filthy weebs. The basic loop is Gather Stuff/Kill Monsters -> Craft Items -> Access Better Areas with Better Loot -> Craft Better Items.

In-between all that is a leisurely story that follows some grotesquely cute and unrealistically proportioned anime girl who wants to be the very best like no one ever was... at throwing stuff in a cauldron to make bombs that will destroy the nearby wildlife. Fun for the whole family.

I really do love the crafting system, though. If every RPG had this system I would spend more time crafting than hitting things. And that's coming from a guy who really likes hitting things.
In games, mind you. My noodle-arms couldn't damage a piece of Styrofoam in real life.

The Atelier series is a JRPG that has a crafting mechanic smashed in. Half of the ingredients you need are just past that next plot point, and then you can make a better version just past the next boss...

It's a very good crafting system, but it would fit a more open world game than a JRPG.

Pokemon Adventures: Red Chapter, its a hack rom based on Pokemon Fire Red which tries to follow the story of the manga along with some new stuff slapped on like an extended pokedex, references to the anime and extra regions.

not sure how much complete the game is but there's a lot of chapters you have to complete so i guess it will be a long ride. and it seems the next beta patch comes in november so there's even more chapters to complete soon.

EDIT: man this game is so full of references to pokemon rumors and theories apart of other pop culture stuff from movies, books, shows, etc. just the way of obtaining Cubone is a thing on itself

Playing a text-based version of Shin Megami Majin Tensei Digital Devil Children Survivor Summoner Persona; essentially a mish-mash of all Atlus games with additions from Puella Magi, FATE, Idolm@ster, and Touhou.

Started up an female avatar tuner that apparently turns into a valkyrie when going demon form; occasionally shifting back to fire special rounds from my gun and use healing skills. I spent most of the time traveling in dungeons and eating up every demon possible; and apparently I also have Main-Character-Swag-Syndrome as I keep getting generic male/female humans thrown at me on quest completion. To the restaurant with you bums.

The Warsword Conquest mod for mount and blade warband just updated. Looks like they fixed the 'if you lose your last town the game breaks' bug that had kept me away until now. The magic system looks interesting but I'm just glad to play a Warhammer game that isn't total war or left 4 dead.

The Warsword Conquest mod is fuuuunnnnnnn.

Can't do it on my current computer, but I have such fond memories of my hundreds of Skaven swarming up castles and through armies.

I'm going to throw out my +1 for the Atelier series.

Mana Khemia 2, a spinoff of the Atelier series, stands as my all-time favorite turn based RPG just for the outstandingly engaging combat. Ar Tonelico, another spinoff, also gets honorable mention for some excellent music, world-building, and storytelling.

The mainline Atelier games are a bit less impressive compared to the spinoffs, but each Atelier game has a unique crafting system which generally has a lot of room for customizing and optimizing to make the most overpowered equipment you possibly can, and then using that gear to farm better materials and make even stronger gear. The games generally have very respectable story length and world size, and imo are easily deserving of a place alongside the Final Fantasy and Tales series of long-running quality RPG's.

Downloaded, started in Nippon (wtf, why does this exists), asked lord for quests. He gave me a quest to give a letter to myself. Welp.
Also it crashed in two attempts to get in combat out of three - probably because i'm on 1.15 and it indeed requires 1.17. Version fuckery, here we go again.
EDIT: Looks like mod author is a bit of a pervert, but got screwed over by "no porn" policy. Elf females got bo bras, instead they got weird cups to cover the boobs. Fuck censorship!  :P

Not surprising, they're based on the Era engine, which is Japanese, so a lot of them are untranslated or are only partially translated.

https://wiki.eragames.rip/index.php/Main_Page Bottom of the page has a list of games, this one is EraMegaten.
