Several questions on caravans and trade routes ._.

> A caravan can move 2 provinces, that means at most, 2 central provinces worth of land. For example if I made a bazaar at West Jian, my caravan can reach until East Qi as the distance between is 2 provinces? :O
> How many resource types can one single caravan hold?
> "+{x} coins of trade revenue" means income to the one sending the caravan, right?
> Only a Bazaar is needed to make a caravan, but the receiver needn't have a bazaar. Asking to check on Caravan creation--as it does say that the receiver doesn't need one :P
Quote
REMEMBER: The Trade Route 'shifts' the resource to your neighbour, depriving you from its benefits! So, for example, to provide Iron's benefit to both yourself AND your neighbour, you would require 2 Iron Mines (one for yourself, one for the other guy). Also, when the Caravan is en route, you do not receive its resource's benefits either!
> Most resources are localized right? Like if we have 2 iron mines, but in different provinces, we can only trade the one which is in the same province as our Bazaar-Caravan right? Which means the 'example's note is to the local resources, not 'all resources in total'? :P
Quote
Caravans cross up to 2 Provinces per Turn and cost no Coins of Upkeep when en route to their destination. Caravan movements are done at the end of a Turn, alongside Research, Hero Employment and so on.
> How much is their upkeep? @_@
Quote
Provinces of Qin, Jian, Song (Yue, Qin, Jian and Zhao on Expanded Map), on the far west of the Land of Han, can send their caravans to a faraway land where the Great City of Cashgrab lies. It takes a Caravan 5 Seasons total to get to Cashgrab and back to you.
._. sorry guys.
Also 5 seasons is 5 turns.
Quote
Unfortunately, there is certain risk that the Caravan might get lost or be plundered by some unscrupulous bandits. This chance is 10% per each Season en route to Cashgrab (you will be notified if this unfortunate event happens).
> If it manages to "hit" cashgrab, then a trade route is established and there will be no more 10% risk for the trade to be dismantled after those 5 seasons of travel?
> Can we send soldiers alongside the caravan (who will drain upkeep) to lower the unfortunate % chance? You can update what'll happen if we lack the money to support it (ie losing lands/getting raided)
Like, since soldiers are slower than caravans, send them to the edge of the map as caravan escort? Or make an 'armed caravan' which will act as spearmen/archers if attacked or raided by enemy soldiers?
> Can't people NOT from the West send caravans (but pay that 100 coin tax and all) instead of just the western states? As in anyone else who isn't from Qin, Jian, Zhong, etc.
I feel guilty because of owning 80% of it ._.

Cashgrab also offers some stuff that will surely be appreciated by your own subjects.

Lentils: Provides +2 to Max.Army limit. Purchase price: 700 Coins (or in exchange for Copper or Tea).
Spices: Provides +1 to Max.Army limit and boosts Taxes in whole Province by 40%. Purchase price: 1400 Coins (or in exchange for Jade or Salt).
Scriptures: Provides +5 RP per Turn. Purchase price: 2100 Coins (or in exchange for Lacquer).
Glassware: Boosts Taxes in whole Province by 80%. Purchase price: 2100 Coins (or in exchange for Lacquer).
> Can we have an example of how permanent these will be? I don't understand the trade route myself that much, since it is 5 seasons trade travel.

>2 provinces means 2 provinces, dunno how you got 'only central' ones there v:
>1 resource per 1 caravan
>yes this is money 'from nowhere' you get for simply delivering stuff to someone else. If you want more, you gotta ask the other player to pay you extra
>you need Bazaar to build Caravans. Caravan's destinations are other Warlord's Bazaars, Central Provinces, or the City of Cashgrab.
>'empty' Caravan in Province X has access to resources in Province X. If you want it to be able to load resources from Province Y, you gotta first move it to Province Y.
>are you really asking how much they upkeep cost? After quoting a line that specifically says 'no upkeep'? :I
>yeh, no more bandits after you establish a route
>no
>no, you gotta link them via yourself V:
>trade routes are permament unless the guy who made it, they guy who is destination or anyone receiving passage fees decides to 'break it up', which is instanteous and irreversible.

win10's Paint is absurdly terrible.

What do I need to just properly work simple pngs here? Does PaintNet still exist? The damned windows thing doesnt even have proper cut/fill option, blah.

EDIT: Oh my god its even worse. Is there a way to simply copy paste a selection? Is there? *seethes*

EDIT2: GIMP doesnt do what I want either. Upgrading to Win10 was a mistake.

I use GraphicsGale for pretty much everything that I can't do on paint. I found it much nicer and easier to use than GIMP.

Paint.NET should work on win10 just fine, as I have it on my machine. Good luck with your artness.

I didn't think you'd be able to produce units from a building you were constructing later that turn. I don't suppose I could retcon a caravan of my own with that new info?

Caravans, unlike military units, are made in the IV phase, compared to military being made in the I phase. :3

T____T
Noooooo.
Ok thanks.

Party party with cavalry \o/

Also I find it a nice silly (not in a bad way) loophole that in contested provinces, we can still attain 100% coverage even if both attacker/defender are of the same religion, or is THAT why Kashyyk still has 100% while I have...err, to allocate some of MY peity coverage to that alongside Shu? (not that I'm honestly complaining--it does make sense IC, but it is kinda weird to see that contrast :P)

Also Haspen--I don't see the 10%+ income bonus for my salty Qin?

Also!

List of stuff that can go on your Caravan:

Copper: Provides benefits of Copper (10% Army Recruitment Cost) to the Caravan's target. +500 Coins of Trade Revenue.
Iron: Provides benefits of Iron (10% Army Recruitment Cost) to the Caravan's target. +300 Coins of Trade Revenue.
Sulphur: Provides +2 Research Points per Turn to Caravan's target. +300 Coins of Trade Revenue.
Rice: Provides +1 to Max.Army limit to the Caravan's target. +100 Coins of Trade Revenue.
Timber: Provides benefits of Woodcutter's Camp (10% Improvement Purchase Cost) to the Caravan's target. +100 Coins of Trade Revenue.
Lacquer/Jade/Silk: Boosts Taxes in whole Province by 20%. +1000 Coins of Trade Revenue.
Tea and Salt can't be traded I guess?
HOW do we trade RICE? Do we need a rice field? Timber comes from a woodcutter's camp?

Quote
Cashgrab has a demand for certain Han crafts and is willing to pay for them:

Copper/Tea: 700 Coins
Jade/Salt: 1400 Coins
Lacquer: 2100 Coins
Silk: 2800 Coins
I guess compared to the above, these are the only things Cashgrab wants?

Also is the Bazaar only localized regionally? As in, if we wanted to Caravan off a certain resource, we'd have to build a Bazaar in the province where that resource would be taken, or can we just build a Bazaar somewhere, then wait a turn because of immobility, then move them to the designated area for them to pick up a resource, then a turn after that (or how long they need to get there) they become a trade route from the Central Territory of that province?
