I support this plan. 2 dice gives us good chance to finish, and leaves us enough resources to actually purchase the things.

Does ECD need the cost reduction?
Otherwise it might be ready to roll out.

it is ready to roll out. It could use a cost reduction, but that can be done after project is finished. It is quite important to deploy it this turn.

We should think about improving ground forces or our armor next turn.

Eastern Cave Dragun
Progress: 9/10 (2+2)
There are some minor technical issues with getting manufacturing set up to produce the frames of the cannons, very minor issues that have absolutely nothing to do with random explosions during field tests, and your engineers assure the brass that the problems can be ironed out in no time at all with just a smidge more time and funding.

Aetherforge
Progress: 14/27 (6+6)
The work on the Aetherforge, however, rockets towards being ready for mass production, with some of the trickier theoretical work dealing with crystal spacing and charge control worked out. The aetherforge is still a long ways from being common place, but it has been successfully transformed from a loose collection of half-insane notes and into an actual design document.

Spire Wreth's Production Stands At,
13(+8)/y Crystal, 35/65 Banked
19(+2)/y Ore, 24/95 banked
19(+6)/y Wood, 86/95 banked
10/y Silk, 34/50 banked

It is now the revision phase. You have 1 die to spend.

Anyway, ideas

Leather-Silk Uniforms An improvement on our silk uniform that includes a leather gambeson, and is thus capable of stopping arrows and aetheric blasts alike.

PINCER PINCER is a tactic in which we simultaneously attack both flanks of an enemy formation. It can both defensively (where we attack an enemy that is attacking our fortified position) as well offensively (in support of a standard assault). If properly executed, a pincer maneuver can lead to the enemy being attacked not only from the front, but also the sides, and even the rear, if the flanking squads manage to link. Few forces can stand up to such sudden crossfire.

Sustained Operations War rests for no one, and neither should our enemy. Sustained operations is a tactic that focuses on continuing combat operations during the night or other inconventional times. Units on sustained attack will attach themselves to units with other tactics, and will use their weaponry and tactics during their shift.

Night-time operations War rests for no one. Forces using this tactic execute a secondary tactic (chosen during that period) at night, when no one normally fights.

Nighttime Harrasment Sleep is very important to the well functioning Marine. The function of these marines is to ensure that the enemy gets none. By using minor harassment attacks, threats and occassional loud noise they force the enemy to maintain alert 24/ exhausting their force. The nighttime harrasers enjoy a good sleep at day.

Revisions with at least a little fluff tend to do better...

Quote from: Squad Shifts
The archives and offices of the glorious Wreth bureaucracy never sleep, why should marines be any different? By running the marines in shifts just like their civilian brethren, a greatly expanded period of operations can be achieved.

Squads assigned to this tactic will attach themselves to other squads with a different tactic, and will take their place and use their tactic as needed to ensure the greatest possible amount of time spent actively fighting. Squads linked up in this way will shift loadouts among themselves to ensure the "active" squad has the best weaponry, also troops are shifted around as needed to keep each "shift" at more-or-less equal strength.

ECD Materials Review:
The Engineers may have indeed gone overboard on the development of this weapon, and once again it is up to the fleet of auditors to see whether the brass etchings are strictly necessary for the smooth functioning of the gun. This is by now a routine function of the department, and becoming regarded among the brass as a necessary penitence for our scientific utopia.
ESP cannonade accumulation (size and cost reduction)
ESP is a simple concept made complex by our lack of understanding.
However, our weapon designs team seem to have far more overlap with this technology than we had previously considered. Using coils such as those from the EMERALD technology, the power draw used for plasma generation in our cannons, and the additional core power from SUCKERPUNCH and Ikusasa, we are able to generate the charge used for sparking far more effectively, and at a smaller scale.

Edit:
Overwhelm
For situations in which we outnumber the enemy significantly, we may take fewer losses if we just flat-out charge the enemy ranks. At the very least we will increase the kill or capture rate of enemy troops, speeding their expulsion from the spire.

Also, could we repair at a fully-occupied TC?

I believe we'd have to specifically install docks there to do so.

Anyway, since the GM says it is possible (provided we don't roll toilets (so it isn't possible)), I'm gonna vote for Sustained Operations.
