"A long, long time ago there was a lonesome man who lived in the middle of
the street. One day, a marksman came by him, and said "hello, my good
man, you wouldn't happen to know where I can find true love around
here?" The man laughed and replied "I do not know." "How come?" asked
the marksman. "That is because I want you as a enemy" replied the
man. The marksman refused to be a enemy to the man, and when he came
home later that evening he killed himself." I don't even know what kind of moral to take out of this one.

"Repeat to yourself: my life is fine, my life is fine, my life is fine." And this one is just sad.

Long ago, in ancient Greece, there was a hideous warlord who had built his home in the middle of town. One day, a hero came to see him, and said "pardon me, my good warlord, where can I find salt?" the warlord kept quiet. "How come?" asked the hero. "That is because I want you as a son." a son?" asked the hero. "Yes indeed. A son." replied the warlord. The hero refused to be son to the warlord, and when he died, the warlord was worshipped the most was forever talked about as warlord there had ever been.

Magical. Touching. Let it fill all of your hearts.

Inspirobot now has a Mindfulness mode, that will occasionally give you a short story in addition to wonderful meditative mantras.
