And Dennis, you need to get back to Hieght Keep. Your dead great-great-grandanscestor is down somewhere in there and you gotta kill him to ascend.

Axeworth seems to need a number of things killed if anyone wants to ascend.

Though Serrana, you just need to find a shrine and get Erlath to open you a portal. Ascension for you is just on the other side.
