I don't think the dying part is a good plan but I do approve of using our magic sword in such a situation.
(Too bad I can't recall any artifacts of Lightning Breath Protection or Not Getting Crushed When a Giant Steel Creature Falls On Your Head.)

You announce that you will defeat the monstrosity yourself! The courtiers are aghast at your decision, but you're the Emperor, and you will show what being an Emperor means! You take the Flying Horse with you, which is somewhat in depressed state. Despite the caretakers trying to care for it, it seems emaciated and weak.

A week later, you pass the gate into the tunnel, and walk through the darkness, lit by torches hanging on the wall.

You cross into the alien world, but you cannot concentrate on the unknown sky, for the demolished Fortress lies few minutes of walk in front of you. You can see the shiny steel carapace of the mighty beast poking between holes of the wall. It seems to have nested in the ruins.

Suddenly you realize that soldiers that were keeping watch at the Orcworld's side of the tunnel have all fled to Methiant. Cowards!

A) Time to sneak to the fortress!
B) Let's wait and watch for now.
C) Flying Horse, I choose you!
