"No, I would like sole access to Parsian gemstones this year. And maybe next, yes, so I can pick the shiniest for top layer and those of lower quality for the bulk of the statue."

Actually from what was said when we acquired the mines, I think they equal +1/year. A reasonable investment for a statue; I just think it sounds gaudy, and I don't like the open-endedness about how long he might take.
