Pulsating Unidirectional Shoving Havoc Enrichment System: Kinetic Energy is the basis of all of our weaponry in one manner or another, and as such we should have such options in our arcane arsenal. This spell is structured to allow a mage to select an amount of force, an area of effect, and a direction for said force to be applied upon the completion of the casting.

I really need to add potions to this game. Just to give all those cupholders a purpose in life.

*drumroll*

Unobtanium M2 (Name temporary until someone else gives it one.)
Effectiveness: 7!

At long last, the designers sober up (or, perhaps, the sober ones finally get drunk) and continue their string of successes. The reliability issues present in the first version of the rifle are removed near entirely. While it still has a tendency to jam in adverse conditions (such as sand or mud), it is now fully capable of unloading it's magazine in fully-auto or hyperburst mode without any mechanical issues. Its jam rate is comparable to other conventional weapons, and it can clear them just as easily. On top of that, its accuracy is retained almost perfectly when utilizing hyperburst mode, meaning it is even more effective at its old job of "temporary designated marksman rifle". Not to be forgotten, the accessories also saw a massive leap in quality. The shotgun can now fire off all its ammunition in whatever target is appropriate without problems, devastating anything without armor. Improved materials and design means that the spikes are now truly sturdy-capable of burrowing into whatever is necessary without much issue.

((And juuust for fun: 7 and 9. You would have gotten a lot more complications if you rerolled entirely, good call there :P)).

Please decide if you will take along the artifact sword during the next combat phase during this production phase.

We should build an Unobtainium Mk2 and see if we can refurbish the Mk1 we have to bring it into line.

I also think we should bring the sword, because why not.

Lets say 35R to refurbish (the average of what you would get if you sold it and bought a new one).

+1

Although the "why not" would be that it could be stolen, or detected, or cause people to seek out out teams to steal their artefacts because they are known to be carrying them without knowing how to use them. Also, the small risk that they devour souls, or nearby metal to rust, or cause the wielder to enter an unstoppable blind frenzy of carnage until they kill something significant to themselves. But overall, I think the benefit of free research is worth it, and we could use a short-range weapon...

I would leave the sword, otherwise yeah let's try and refit the Unobtanium Mk1. We can't buy new as well, by the way.

refit the Unobtanium Mk1. We can't buy new as well, by the way.
Assumption: New U.=70 Refit U.=35 Funds=120
Reasoning: 70+35=105
Conclusion: 105<120
I believe that it is possible. I also feel that it is wise, but am much less confident in that assertion.

I suggest spreading the new equipment around. I don't really care about any of our current agents so no special assignments. Maybe the mook who fragged the armour oughtta get mo''nades?

I would feel smug if I hadn't needed to recheck three times.

Let's quote box eh?

Quote from: Production Phase
Refurbish Unobtainium: 35R: 1: SMMI
Purchase UM2: 70R: 1: SMMI
Use Sword Next Combat Phase:
Do Not Use Sword Next Combat Phase: 1: SMMI

Next design phase we'll need to get some Anti-Armor set up, though hopefully the HOSE will help with that until then. As for the Sword, let's figure out what it does in laboratory conditions before deploying it in the field

Production phases are usually pretty unanimous.

All you are really arguing about is if you should take the sword or not.
