((If you wake up, Ed is not giving you back your high explosives, Mr. Morphine. That reminds me though, I should hand them off to someone going into a building.

P.S. Ed's not handing the wheel over to someone high on Morphine, either, lol))))

Let others leave if they want; as for Bob, he'll keep up a steady watch for enemies with his BAR.

"If we need heavy fire, I've still got all my rounds. HEAT, High Explosive, and White Phosphorous, 3 of each."

Staying on board - mostly just a bit shaken. And heavily burnt. But the painkillers are working, mostly. Stay in the truck, keep watch with the M1 Garand. And if we see any armor that isn't ours, switch to the M18 Recoilless Rifle.

Suggested order of battle when we pull up. Consider this Edward's IC suggestion.

North:
Winston
Robert

South:
Edward
Simon Smith

Truck:
Joe Nix (take the wheel. be ready to drive at the first sign of trouble. Get healed)
Smith (heal Jack [-4 life] then Nix [-3 life]
Jack (get healed, dude)
Yarrick (just sleep it off)

Once the local area is cleared:

AA gun:
Smith
Jack

Rooftop:
Simon Smith
Winston

Building:
Edward
Robert
Jack if he's up to it
Yarrick if he's conscious and not totally loopy.

Truck:
Joe Nix (seriously, stay in the driver's seat and be ready to gtfo.)
Anyone still at -3 life or below, really.

Welp. Magazine time!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You shrug and whip out the girly mag. Huh...there's a surprising amount of stuff in here that involves two physically perfect blonde haired people and the corpses of allied soldiers.

Huh.

Stay in truck, but also in any cover it provides.  Covering fire?

Spoiler: Jack Worter (click to show/hide)
You lay down in a way that you hope provides you with both the most cover and the most opprotunity to shoot nazis.  A medic works on you as you lay there, stiching you up and bandaging the burns. [+3 life]

We still have to do our main objective, hell no I'm not getting out. Heal whoever is most injured.

Jack is sitting at -4 life so you decide to work on him. [6] You restore a full 3 life to him but empty your doctor's bag in the process.

Rest up as best as possible, stay with the mission.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
You take a moment to rest and clear your head. [+1 physical]

If I wake up stay on the truck as a get away driver

"You lot are insane if you all die I'm taking the kids back and leaving you lot behind"

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
[4] You groggily wake back up but find your entire body still numb and barely sensible. You try to move your arms and they move in slow, awkward flops. Hmm.

Let others leave if they want; as for Bob, he'll keep up a steady watch for enemies with his BAR.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
You join Jack in the "Prepare to fire" crew.

Spoiler: Winston Atzili (click to show/hide)
Overwatch club gains another member.

Loot Yarrick's satchel charges. Drive between the oddly shaped building and the four aa guns north of it. Run over anyone getting in the way. Do NOT run into any buildings. If an enemy approaches my door, kick it open into their face for the stun! Ready my MG 15 for shooting.

Edit: Ask HQ about a rendezvous point for the truck and for anyone on foot, preferablly before we engage in battle again.

Edward glances at Simon, then clutches the wheel as the last of the leave-behinds gets off the truck.

"Well, this is it. Nice knowing you."

Spoiler: Edward Bohring (click to show/hide)
You loot the charges from the insensible man and then drive northwest. You see a few remaining nazis on foot outside the buildings but they seem far too busy running for their lives to bother you.  The building you stop next to appears to be the mess hall, while directly to the west there is a stout, robust building that you would bet is the command center. Next to it, to the north, is the air control tower, all ugly steel and concrete.

You call HQ over the radio and they let you know that Alice has a plane and is ready to go. They recommend getting together with her and flying out. From there they can just give you directions.

"Your plan's good and all, Eddie, but I think I'm gonna start shooting the guys with guns first."

All those Nazis to the north.  Are they just running around in a blind panic, or do they seem to realize that we're here?  If the latter, or if they seem even mildly alert and cohesive, start shooting them.  I don't trust them not to notice the big truck disgorging ninjas.

If they do seem sufficiently consumed by chaos, or if my teammates handle them, start clearing the mess hall and looking for a way to the roof.

First aid on the second most injured.

5 GLORY for Toaster, BTW.

Joe Nix seems next on the injured train. [3] You restore +2 life to him, carefully wrapping his burns.

You apparently don't have a first aid kit so thats gonna be hard.

Bob just keeps doing what he's doing.

Holding pattern initiated.

You hop out of the truck and look around. The nazis to the north are just running; they don't seem to have anything on their mind other than getting away from the base. Somewhere south you hear part of a building collapse and the wooosh of fire rising from the wreckage. You shrug. Can't really blame them; half the base just detonated and there are still muitions dumps over there. Oh well.

You head over to the mess hall and kick open the doors. Its dark inside and quiet, the sounds of your foot steps echoing on the tile. The mess hall  is much like every other mess hall you've seen: its a big room with metal benches and a partially enclosed kitchen to the north with a metal serving counter and piles of tin dining trays.  There's no one in here.

You walk into the kitchen and look around but there are no ladders up to the roof anywhere in here.

"Hmph."

-sigh-
Drive truck to airplane. Load shells and Yarrick onto airplane. drive truck back to the doors to the command center. examine command center to locate threats. Examine it with extreme prejudice.

The three of you -Yarrick recovers enough to only be slightly intoxicated- load the shells onto the plane and  then drive back to the command center.  You drive around it once and then stop and look at the front doors. You see no signs of threats and no doors or ways out other than the front double doors. However, those doors have had a chain wrapped around their handles and a padlock threaded through several of the chain's links. Hmm. That seems a bit freaking overboard, all things considered.

Well, that chain and padlock look a bit freaking overboard, all things considered. Get ready for trouble!

Use my engineering tools or percussive lockpicking to remove the padlock. Open the ominous chained doubledoors of doom.
