"Charge the bastards!"

Skillfully direct my forces as above.

Trump uses his Character to bellow a passionate charge order D6+2/3 = 3 - but it does come out in a very inspiring way. it sounds more like a tantrum than a heroic charge.

His radio operator also overcompensates for the morning's snafus (6), the charge order is broadcasted on every possible frequency.

The men are also eager to overcompensate (6), and will zealously carry out the order to their deaths...

-Retroactively acquire a Russian Mad Scientist for 1 mil, theirs plenty of mad scientist in the Ukraine, since we of course did human genetic manipulation!, also check the price to upgrade/build a Minor Engineering Workshop and Prototype Lab.

-Have Squadron Assault perform guerrilla tactics, and stealthily move in for general reconnaissance of that city centre. All 6 Support Squads will be behind Assault squadron so that their defending slow Mortal Squad. Mortal Squad moves into position at a slower pace, mobilizing to the city center.

"Donald Trump is the Supreme Leader of Glorious America, Vladimir Putin's Heir congratulates on Donald's Trump's success in the Elections, I have to inform you their were no Russian Hackers, however."

Putin will acquire a mad scientist, and then do a roll for acquiring information on genetics.

You can acquire industrial machine tools for 100,000 which enables all the basic metal manipulation processes: cutting, welding, stamping, forging, drilling, milling, boring, raking.

Putin uses his Coup d'ouil and operational vigor to order a stealthy advance supported by all 6 squads with the mortar squad in the rear-centre.

(5) his radio operator conveys the instruction perfectly
(2) Putin doesn't really understand the concept of a stealthy advance. The squads will advance slowly in full view of all observers in the city.
(6) Putin is over-enthusiastic about his brilliant stealthy plan. His squads are likely to over-commit in the advance when we process the turn.

((I think a hint might be justified here:

You have been deploying loudly and slowly.

Trump's force is headed to the countryside where the pirate base is. Even if the roads get blown to bits, the terrain looks okayish for his Jeeps.

Putin is walking into town where the government and the rich might be friendly, but most of the population is not. Most of the guns in town are in the police armory, which has more guns than policemen, in city hall where the mayor has an excessively large collection, and in the rich quarter. The poor folk would be mostly unarmed if they revolt but fail to capture these sources of guns.

Worst case scenario, you could open up multiple fronts with the pirate stronghold, and from within the city.

In the real life mission that this mission is based on, the rebel stronghold was taken out quickly in an ambush, but the government loss control of the city with its hostile population who then stormed the police armories, killed all the rich and armed themselves with anything they could loot.

001/002/003/005
Proceed towards the pirate stronghold in the wake of the jeepswarm. Stay a decent distance from the other squads, and stay very far away from the swarm. Attempt to capitalize on the distraction provided by the swarm to assault the compound.

101/102
Attempt to stay hidden and approach the compound. Scout out the perimeter and communicate this information with 001/002/003/005. Attack targets of opportunity.

004/006
Set up HMGs outside town with overwatch over areas most likely to cause trouble. Remain in communications with the Russians.

103/104
Provide overwatch for the Russians.

I really like the look of this, but I am too tired to make a sheet now. Can I reserve a spot?

I'm beancounting at work atm, will finish processing everything when I get off at about 1000 gmt. If I feel that we can't handle more players the extras could join as single characters, otherwise, i'm happy to look at more sheets. Priority given to anyone willing to count every last drop of ammo and rations themselves.

Eganbot gives the command to advance in the wake of the Trump Jeeps, calling upon his organizational capabilities and superior oversight. (4+1) His troops fan out in perfect pattern coherence behind the jeeps. Their drill sergeant would have been proud...

(3+1) Sniper teams 101 and 102 advance slowly to the compound on foot. Covering a whole 100 meters while remaining perfectly undetected. Only 4,900 metres to go.

(6) Your HMG teams receive their orders to overwatch, and decide that a nearby farmhouse would give them a perfect observation point of the entire city perimeter and all the roads leading into it from the south. They are not thinking friendly thoughts towards the residents of the said farmhouse however.

(5) The sniper teams have decided on the perfect bushes that would give them an overwatching concealment covering the Russian teams.

I'll process the overall turn sometime later. I need to sleep.

(5) The sniper teams have decided on the perfect bushes that would give them an overwatching concealment covering the Russian teams.

I'll process the overall turn sometime later. I need to sleep.

Trump:

Trump's Jeeps accelerate and make it about 500 metres up the road... when it starts raining Mortars! A pair of mortars that had been zeroing in on Trump's position for the last couple of hours or so opens fire!

Enemy:

Enemy Mortar teams: (1,1...) "why Muhammad, why!?" *boom*
The enemy crews fumble with their own mortars. 2 mortars explode. (2, 1) One of which ignites it's own ammo pile. The other just blows up with the force of a single mortar round.
The first mortar crew takes takes hits from their own mortar: (2+2,1+2) vs (5,1) Only 1 of the crewmen becomes a casualty. The other got lucky.
The second crew turn into chunky salsa from multiple mortar round explosions. 2 enemy riflemen are caught in the blast (2+4, 1+4) vs (5,1) and turn into chunky salsa too.

Trump:

Trump's jeeps advance unmolested for another 500 metres up the road.

Putin:

Putin's men walk towards town with the subtlety of a steamroller, backed up by Eganbot's squads.
(2,2) They advance about 40m towards the town, leaving 460 metres between them and the town perimeter.

Eganbot:

One of Egan's teams move to "take the highground" - a farmhouse 500 metres from the town perimeter. The farmer and his children take potshots at the advancing soldiers.
(6,2,1,1,4) - scoring 1 hit, 1 overshoot and 2 catastrophic failures.
(6) The overshot shotgun explodes. Blowing out a window of the farmhouse, along with the neck of the small child that was wielding the weapon.

Clone "commando" 103 is hit by a farmer. (2+1) vs 3. He shrugs it off, but will need medicine to prevent infection.

"commando" 103 and 104 return fire. (4+1,6)
(3+4) vs (3+2-2). Commando 101 has his vengeance, decapitating the farmer's wife his huge anti-material rifle.
(1) the overshot anti-material rifle jams.

Squad Egan004 Egan006 take up positions to storm the farmhouse. They roll for bravery (4+1, 5) and enthusiastically kick the door in to liberate the place.
(6) Kicking the door in flattens the farmer's eldest son, who was bravely trying to protect the rest of his family.
(3) The old tired farmer promptly surrenders.
(6) His eldest daughter slits her own throat on the spot before the soldiers can lay hands on her.

Commando 103 and 104 manage to crawl into their bushes without further incident.

Enemy:

Enemy coordination: (4) "Troublemakers" within the city have received word that the attempt to turkeyshoot Trump's Jeep mob have failed. They refrain from making a move for now.

Turn 1 summary:

Trump has advanced a whole 1000 meters without mortars falling on his men's heads. Only 4000 meters to go.

Egan squads 001/002/003/005 march a standard 400 meters in perfect parade formation.

Sniper team 101 and 102 crawl 100 meters towards the pirate base.

Sniper team 103 and 104 supported Egan squads 004/006 at shooting up some farmers. Commando 103 is bleeding, but is otherwise fine.

Squads 004 and 006 have captured a strongpoint overlooking the open farmland between them and the town, subduing a family of 5 in the process.

The enemy within the town is silent. The enemy at the stronghold knows you're coming. Their own mortar crews have also blown themselves up.

The mission time is 1503.
