Pre-engagement phase:

Purchase another 3000kg of food and 6000kg of water ($36k).

Loudly play the most preachy Christian music I have throughout my dropships in an attempt to get the stowaways to reveal themselves.

Join my troops for prayer time, and lead a prayer separately. When it's over, take the suicide pilots aside to relieve their worries - The money is not a bribe, but a compensation to their friends and family for their service to God.

Matyrdom Prep talk: (4+1)
You remind them of how every single one of the ancient prophets were slain. You remind them of how the saints of the new covenant were stoned, crucified upside down and set on fire, fed to lions... but all went to heaven singing praises to God.

You were sent by God to look after the families they will leave behind. They seem to accept this.

General prayer time: (5)
You give an uplifting sermon, convincing all of your divine mandate to bring the sword unto to the heathens and become a holy instrument of wrath. The men all feel several times more self-righteous.

Communications: (6)
You blast the sermon throughout the ships, dropships and throughout the entire planetary sector. More crewmen are converted, and more of them secretly stowaway, believing that they would be joining your sacred crusade.

You have also enraged every moslem pirate/civilian on the planet. You may have triggered the riot that the Imans failed to inspire.

001/002/003/005/101/102
How about no. Proceed as planned or court martial.
004/006
If we see their muzzle flashes, they sure as hell see ours. Either make sure they're dead or relocate.
103/104
Stay focused, meatbags. Or else.

001/002/003/005/101/102:
You threaten the soldiers forward with your will and strength of character: (2-1)

The threats are ignored...

(2,1,1,5,4,1)-1 All the squads also desert. The more hesitant ones end up throwing in with their comrades. It's a pirate's life for them now.

004/006:

Tactics: (4)

Communication: (4+1)

Your machine gun crews realize that they can't spot the enemy with eyeballs from 500m. They make a phone call to the snipers and ask them to do the the spotting.

Snipers 103 and 104 (2+1): "We don't see shit, but we *think* there's movement over there."

Tactics (4): Your men realize that they could leap frog forwards, but it would mean crossing an open field, potentially exposed to hostile fire. They could dump their gear and sprint... or they could sit back and let the russians attract the muzzle flashes...

"Comrades are lost everyday as long as we allow these fellow threat to exist, slaughter them all. Glory to Russia.

Remaining Assault Squad, the shield dude and the clone sergeant, still keep continuing advance; attack any threats that come into sight
Support Squad 1; retreat back, begin medical stabilization.
Support Squads 3-4; provide suppressing fire with SAWs and Anti-Material Rifles.
Mortar Team; start mortaring the general location where the sniper nest are, blow their building to bits!

ALSO MEN, FORGET ALL STEALTH TACTICS, only Directed Assault!

Communications: (6)
Character: (6)

Your men are already all charging. But you press the point in, they dump all the gear they perceive to be unnecessary, along with all their wounded comrades, and charge. All other thoughts about tactics are... mostly ignored.

They sprint the final 300 meters or so and reach the urban perimeter before the enemy snipers can find the range. There are 10 snipers spread out among the houses... and they may be relocating if they are any smart.

At least snipers with fancy scopes are no match for sprinting men.

Such competence, it's amazing.  I love how my soldiers just continue to charge recklessly without even needing more orders.  I mean, I didn't even give most of them radios, so it's expected, but still; they're great!

Luck test: (1)

Hehehehehehehehehehehe...

Logistics: Every vehicle carries two day's rations, except for the sacrifices. They won't last that long, but have money and religion so that's fine. The reserves are to remain at HQ, supply dumps, and the hospital, so they just carry their guns and their ammo.

You add more food and water. Your men will probably set up an adhoc basecamp on landing to make a supply dump, but the men aren't assigned individual ration supplies.

Shooty phase:

Town:

Putin's squads reach the perimeter, dumping their spare food, ammo and comrades.

Snipers: (2,4,2,4,5,5,2,1,5,1) vs (6)

The enemy snipers couldn't get a bead on any of the sprinting men.

Then everyone's radios get overriden by the most inspiring sermon the galaxy has ever heard about the holy wrath of god and Innocentius' mandate to cleanse the universe of non-believers.

The town stirs... Then there are shouts of "kill the infidel!" A few fanatics take the streets shouting. The few become a crowd. The crowd becomes a mob...

Stronghold:
A couple of machineguns open up as Trump's columns gets into their range:
(5,5)

They strafe the columns up and down. (3,6,2,3,4,5)+3

The willys tank with their 3 armor: (1,2,2,3,2,3)

6 Jeeps at the front most column go up in flames.

The drivers behind them in the tightly packed column try to rolltododge (5,4,1,1,1,1) 4 of them crash

The drivers behind them rolltododge (6,3,1,5) 1 crashes

The driver behind it rollstododge (2) and crashes

The driver behind it rollstododge (5) and makes it...

Only 13 jeeps lost in the front!

The jeeps surge forward until they reach RPG range.

(3,5) One near-hit, 1 direct hit.

(2)
The near hit splashes on 2 jeeps!

(2)v(3), (1)v(1) But they shrug it off.

The jeep hit directly gets shredded by a shaped charge.

Then 5 battle rifles open up on the jeep columns:
1,6,1,1,2

3 of the guns jam, 1 miss, 1 overshot that hits a jeep driver rather than a jeep.

(6+3) vs (6) the driver goes down.

Only 14 jeeps lost altogether!

That's when the jeeps encounter a makeshit barricade of furniture, barbed wire, logs, and surplus camp followers.

(4) v (4) The lead jeep painted orange plows into the barricade wall. He pushes it back, but his vehicle stops.

(2) A sniper takes the moment to miss a shot at him.

Brains: (2)

The column behind him decides that driving into/over him is the best idea to deal with the barricade. The lead jeep gets trampled. But so does the barricade.

Only 15 jeeps lost... Only only only...

To be continued after lunch...

Also I need clearer rules for the squad table of organization... the gear should be standardized for squads and fireteams to be manageable..

Assigned in the last sentence. I hadn't gotten around to adding it to each, but wanted to post that before going to bed. I'll do that now:

Stating that you were excommunicated in real life, without context. Let's just say that it is very like "UHhhhhhhhhhh........Okay?".

Still thinking of ways to bring order to this chaos:

I could: Do a massive mechanics overhaul to aggregate everything.

Like instead of tracking every bullet we'll just have "munitions" and "rations"

Instead of customizing every single member of a squad we'll have unit types.... Yea, we can include suicide jeepmen for trump.
