Note that you already have both sniper rifles and flamethrowers (the latter isn't super effective in an environment with less foliage) but scopes for rifles are still Expensive.

So I think we should upgrade the Sarukh.  Either a highly mobile truck mounted system with more rockets to allow for sustained and devastating saturation bombardment or a highly accurate missile combined with a ground targeting system for extremely accurate missile artillery fire.

A new sniper rifle with a night vision scope would be a good idea also.

Or a submarine.

Salamader Model G - Replace the autocannon and most of the passenger space with a Sarukh launcher and ammo racks. We now have an amphibious, highly mobile rocket platform.

Mounting the Sarukh on a Salamander seems like a good idea to me. Is their any reasons why it wouldn't be a good idea I'm not seeing?

We need to make a big change here guys. This is a do or die turn if there ever was one -- they're about to be within spitting distance of our capital if they somehow win on Forenia, but VITALLY if we lose on Tereshkova one more type they get an ore and we lose an oil -- this would be BAD. Incremental hasn't been cutting it recently, so we need to carefully consider the desert mountain and jungle terrains and not only choose something that isn't a bad idea, but something with the capacity to be a decisive one.

Remember, we also have a research credit, and now would probably be the time to spend it.

The problem with the Sarukh isnt really mobility, it is inaccurate at range and has a small payload.  They are already mounted on trucks which can move fine to avoid return fire.  Mounting it on a salamander doesn't make any better a weapon and doesn't really get it anywhere it can't already hit, because it has a long range right now.

Maybe we should look at equipment we are missing rather then upgrading what we have?

Infantry Equipment Upgrade

Forenian Infantry is, perhaps, one of the most comfortable destinations that involve active duty in this World War.  Now, we only need to make them one of the most effective ones.

As such, we have made preparations in order to bolster the capabilities of our soldiers whether acting independently or performing a coordinated assault on enemy positions. As such, we have prepared rifle scopes for mass production to equip every infantryman with them. We have also inspired ourselves partly in flak and Tiger Armor to design jackets that will be able to stop shrapnel and small caliber bullets while limiting mobility as less as possible. A new metal helmet, which can deflect a rifle bullet which doesn´t strike it frontally.

Subsequently, we have developed compact and dried army rations. New first aid kits are developed, which  include rags, cotton, needle and thread, alcohol, morphine and, most notably, penicillin, which has been proved to have astonishing results when uses to treat infections and a whole lot of other diseases that affect the soldiery, such as syphilis (both tiger and human).

All infantry equipment is camouflaged in splotchy patterns which vary in color from environment to environment to allow better hiding.

Infantry Equipment Upgrade
...oh, you precious summer child. You haven't read the whole thread, have you?
Some of that design is valid, but the rations and the first aid kits especially are reminiscent of the infamous Infantry QoL revision (8))

Anyway, we need something that will help in the Desert. If we lose in the Desert, it's game over- they gain resources, we lose resources. We can afford to lose a section of mountains, although obviously if it helps in both areas that would be ideal.
This means our ASM will have to wait, since naval support is a lot less relevant in the Desert.

We have sunglasses and they don't. We can't possibly lose the desert.

How about combat drugs? Steroids and supplements to increase strength, amphetamines and caffeine and other stimulants to let our soldiers (and especially pilots) operate for days on end and fly endless sorties, painkillers for obvious reasons, muscle relaxants to make snipers more accurate...

Uranium Enrichment Program

The culmination of Forenia's drive for bigger and better explosions, the UEP is the first step to building a nuclear bomb to enforce a stalemate with Cannala.  The program is designed to produce enough U-235 for practical use.

We need to fix our air advantage, because it's gone away because MAGIC CANNALAN WEAPONRY. A revision to their missile ought to help, especially if it accompanies a research-credit-boosted design for a new fighter. Our fighters apparently still aren't great, if we go all-out on redoing the Lightning Streak's engine we might be able to make "early Cold War"....probably. Basically, we just need to make a true interceptor, capable of reaching those blasted new Charlottes and getting rid of them. We might also revise the flares, somehow, to make them as effective as flares should be. I guess we could make them slightly rocket-powered to draw off missile fire better? Or just use our superior rocketry to make our Hellfires longer-ranged than the Canners'? Prevent them from firing altogether, perhaps.

Is there a reason we don't use flares to blind their night vision attacks?

The HellFire is  over 300kg and quite slow. I'm sure we can  use our ex-wife to improve that.
