I suspect the rocketpult is increasing the oil cost of the Z, thus a reason to use steam catapults.
Hrmmm, I see I see. Rocket-engines burn rocket-fuel at a greater rate than steam-engines burn steam-fuel... Additional fuel use means addition oil use. Yes yes, that all makes a great deal of HERESY!

It is so sad that we will have to spend so much oil on the rocket-fuel for the mass-pyre that we suddenly need...

UF-AC-41 " Raptor"

The AS-AC-18 is our most common weapon, but it has sadly become outdated.  This new, modern variant is designed so that it can be integrated into any of our current designs that use it. Design wise, it abandons the Advanced Primer Ignition for a simple gas-operated system. Careful effort is taken so that this does not increase the weight of the gun. Firerate increases drastically, up to 800 rounds per minute. Muzzle velocity also increases by 25%-50%. Interchangeability of ammunition allows effective use of explosive, incendiary, tracer, armorpiercing and other bullets.

Better autocannons are possibly the most efficient use of a single revision, as all our ships, planes and some ground vehicles mount the AS-AC18. Plus, we're going to need something to hold off the Cannalan armoured tide in the coming turn. Doubleplus, sets up for the Turbohaast's 30mm autocannon.

Cannalan armour isn't a concern in the jungle, and the bull is VE still. Their armour isn't a priority to deal with yet.

It is actually.

Remember, we loose some ours due to expense now.

Except that next turn our T2 Breaker and Salamander become Expensive, while the Type 36 Tank Destroyer becomes Cheap. Salamanders (whose main weapon is an AS-AC18) were specifically noted as helping in the Jungle on multiple occasions.

What we have currently:
Quote
-Incinerator Flamethrower: [L] A heavy weapon, consists of two tanks on a soldier's back (one of harmless nitrogen as a propellant, and one of flamethrower fuel) and a nozzle with a pilot light. Shoots a jet of burning liquid about 25 feet. Includes an emergency cutoff valve. Costs 2 ore, 2 oil.

What we should have:
Quote
UF-FTW-31-2 'Conflagration': The original Incinerator is by now a decade old, and even at the time it was outdated. By updating the design with minor modifications based on our years of experience, and by using modern materials to construct it, we substantially increase its performance. The tanks, made of modern alloys, are both lighter and stronger. The nozzle has been redesigned to optimise dispersal. Combined with increased pressure, this doubles the range. Modern chemistry has been applied to make the fuel itself burn hotter, longer, and more unquenchably.

A better flamethrower would be a major boon in the jungle. Although, upgrading our autocannon could also be useful.

We were able to push with expensive salamanders even when they had the bull. Their tank destroyer getting cheap isn't going to help much given the armour on it. An autocannon isn't going to help that much in taking it. We'd want bigger parachutes to help our airdropped units deal with their forces without worrying about them getting cut off from supply.

Yeah, we were able to  push then, because their amphibuous vehicles were expensive too. Now they'll be cheap. And they'll be doing something new.

Quote
Normally a Salamander is still a better pick for a fight against a Marauder- the Salamander's light weight turret rotates faster, and its AC-18 autocannon fires faster, so a Marauder has to both get the first shot and absolutely not miss. However in this case, Marauders outnumber Salamander APCs and AS-T33 tanks, so Cannala still has an advantage in armored combat. However, the advantage of being able to move troops by water is no longer so unique to Cannala

This guy alse became cheap, and it caused us trouble before.

Revision: Blood Eagle II, Blood Eagle Reloaded

Following up on our fantastic failure from our last attempt, we try making the explosives in the ERA a bit more stable so they don't explode unless a sufficiently large force is applied; namely, a shell large enough to penatrate the armor underneath.

The Blood Eagle package is designed to be modular, so it can be applied to tanks and APC's in the field.

As we stood a decent chance of having a working version last time, we could always try this again.  The jungle is a concern, after all, and this would likely give our armor the survivability it needs to hold the line and push back.

Heck, considering how long it's been since our last attempt, it may go down to merely Hard.

Yeah, the Marauder variant becomes cheap, bringing the Daybreaker cannon against our now-Expensive tanks. Also, all our planes and ships have an AS-AC18 on them. Better autocannons will literally boost every theatre.

Which would be an issue if our Salamander didn't already trounce the daybreaker raider. A new autocannon isn't going to exactly help them kill more daybreakers, especially if the larger gun does slow down the turret's turn rate.

It's not larger, it's the exact same weight.

And greater firepower means greater range, and more shots working at bad angles.
