I vote for Tereshkova. You know, middle fingers to Cannalans and all that.

ana-S.T.-1940-weldit "Some Centipede Silliness" class transport train
It is apparent that we need a 5tc naval transport.. It is worryingly dubious that we can fully convert a carrier into a transport, and we have a transport that works just fine sitting about waiting to be used. The solution was simple and easy! We just weld five CV22s together in al ine, with them welded at a bit of an angle to that their propellors are pointed a little downwars and underneath instead of right into the back of the ship behind. The self-contained units maintiain their own structural integrity, the massive redundancy makes it highly resistant to single attacks, and the long hull maintains its speed. Truly, nothing can possibly go wrong with this!

She. Tereshkova is a woman. I agree with it being a giant middle finger to Cannala though.

I got nothing to add to the carrier group debate except to say that if we're literally fielding one Z carrier for 100 Wasp Nests, that Z carrier had better be the goddamn USS Enterprise (the Federation starship, not the WWII carrier).

Also there is no reason not to push in two areas rather then one, we literally lose nothing.

actually, when both sides attack in one place, one side WILL gain territory. SO if we are confident we could repel an attack but are not confident we could win on the offensive, the right move might be to not attack and let them crash on defenses.
Note, this applies when fighting for the same territory. When fights happen at the border, this doesn't seem to apply: see when they invaded mountains while we invaded southern tundra: nobody gained land that turn.

This is one of the things I'm still confused about, as Sensei has explicitly said that choosing to attack in an area does not mean you will defend less effectively there. But it seems intuitive that if both sides are evenly matched with defence outstripping offence, then both sides choosing to attack simultaneously must cause one side to win and thus disprove what he said.

Anyway, if you're referring to the Jungle, we are at the border there already. So we could opt to attack into North Cannala without fear, albeit that this would likely fail as we don't have landers.

Well, it makes sense if you consider pushing a front a separate variable from the front performance.

If Sensei judges win and loss the same way no matter if it's a double battle or not, then it simply matters what that loss is assigned to, which is a separate variable from whether the Cannalans or Forenians are superior on the front. -- if the Cannalans win and aren't pushing, Forenia just doesn't gain land, if the Cannalans win and are pushing, the Cannalans gain land.

Well, I think there's no harm in pressing center.  But should we press North or South?  Both are border territories.  If we win the North we could start landing on Cannala.  If we win South we could disrupt their Titanium.

I think we should go South.  If we're dead-even, we won't risk losing territory in the North.  If we have a slight advantage, we disrupt their Titanium supplies.  If we're at a disadvantage...well, pressing wouldn't help, anyways.
