Weed indirectly leads to terrorist attacks. Weed leads to pacifism. Pacifism leads to terrorist attacks.
Before you say "Pacifism leads to terrorist attacks" is equally stupid, no, it isn't. See, for example, a previous Arms Race (I forget which) where anti-war rebels blew up a mine. It could happen again.
And saying "They'll be too high to plot against the government" assumes that they are high 24/7, which for the majority of people will not be the case.

I am quite frankly astounded by the scare tactics going on right now by the anti-weed party.

See?  Super easy to contrive "X leads to Y" scenarios.  If the greatest fear of legalizing weed is that the Peace Party will smoke it and continue being useless pieces of shit, then I'm confused as to why we're even discussing this.  Letting hippies smoke weed isn't going to make them more powerful.

Who are more violent: peace protestors that have been left alone, or peace protestors who have had their weed taken away and are now angry? Banning weed in a measure clearly targeted at them may make them think that the government is their enemy and out to get them -- at which point they may switch to violent tactics.

If we're arguing by the most convenient hypothetical, banning weed causes terrorist attacks.

You're probably right. There's probably absolutely no downside to legalising weed.
...except that doesn't make any sense. Why would Sensei give us a choice like this and have one option be clearly the right one? No, there is a downside to legalising it, and Sensei has provided a hint as to said downside: that every member of the Peace Party is smoking weed.

Every member of the Peace Party, a less-offensive re-branding of the Peace with Cannala Party, seems to smoke a ton of it

From this I infer that cannabis leads to pacifism.

That criminalising it would lead to smuggling is not disputed. But a little smuggling is better than pacifists overrunning parliament (or blowing up ore mines)
