UF-MAD-45 'Pegleg' Pattern B
A variant of the Firecracker.

The United Forenian Minefield Airborne Deployment unit "Pegleg" disperses mines through the use of an air-dropped bomb unit.  Like the Firecracker, the Pegleg disperses its payload over a variable area depending on altitude of deployment. This is to quickly and remotely spread mines over a large area or through a chokepoint such as a mountain pass. It can be filled with any landmine we presently have, dropped in pop-open canisters that can help slow descent. All mines are modified with an impact arming fuze, causing them to become armed a minute or so after hitting the ground and becoming sensitive to disturbances. AT mines cannot be stacked and deployed, but given that we can now rapidly and stealthily (nighttime parachute drops!) minefields the mobility kills we will get should allow us to immobilize and then use artillery against any hostile targets. Oh, and if they start clearing the minefield we can just start deploying the regular-old bombers to make a mess of them.

This is still just a revision, I'm concerned that we're now attempting to do too much in that revision.

Taking our mines and our dispersal bomb and combining them?

What would be safer; taking our motorcycles and recoilless rifles and combining those?

Our dispersal bomb doesn't have a metal parachute for every individual mine like what you're suggesting, unless I badly misunderstood (I skimmed, OK) the deployment mechanisms of those mines you linked.

The Diana would be significantly less useful in the mountains on account of the Artemis being difficult to get up there.

Iron Ball Paint
Through utilization of a large number of small spheres coated in the now 2 decade old substance known as Carbonyl Iron being suspended in the paint used on our aircraft, our aircraft gain a radar absorbent paint able to reduce their presence on Canalla radars and damage the ability of some forms of their missiles to accurately target our aircraft.

Votes are currently in favor of the Blackcat (air-dropped land mines based on Firecracker?) so that's what we'll roll soon if there is not a big change in votes.

UF-MAD-45 'Pegleg':
The Pegleg is a variant on the Firecracker cluster bomb. Instead of deploying bombs, it deploys mines, each on a small parachute which slows their fall and ensures they land right-side up. The mines arm after touching the ground, and are based on the M34 Viper landmine, in a single anti-infantry form or an alternative single mine which is equivalent to a double-stacked M34, effective against vehicles. Unlike the Firecracker the Pegleg disperses based on a timer, regardless of altitude, so the mines are denser if they are deployed from low altitude or spread out more from a high altitude. Reminder that this is not an alliance request decision, it is a domestic politics decision and so we aren’t looking at a dead-simple “sell your soul and get money” decision, we may be looking at consequences, like losing something while the nationalization is ongoing.

(But we shouldn’t sell our soul to communism anyway reeeee)
