Can Ramses Apophis Memphis Set reinforce the team yet?

Yes.  The other two waitlisters have also been notified.  If there is no response in the next few days, I'll be accepting additional people to shore up the numbers.

Congratulations:  The towers of Tel Hydera have been trampled, and the glory of the barbarians remains undiminished!  Hurrahs for the free!  Two mighty forts have been conquered, and their expedition continues!

The barbarians, after a generous round of carousing, proceed down the western road out of the barren lands, and into the forested terrain.  The hunting is easy and food is plentiful, and the road clear of travellers.  The way is soft, and little marks the passage of the warriors, save for the occasional cabin and the occasional ford or bridge over a small stream.

After two days, the Barbarians are starting to notice more people.  There are more clearings made by loggers, there are more traplines about, and there are more people visible.  Everyone seems to regard the Barbarians with fear, however, and are shy of interactions, fleeing or retreating when confronted with their might.

After a third day of travel, the Barbarians arrive at their nominal destination, the city of Grazina, and while it's reputation for fine culture and high living is untested, it's reputation for ivy-covered walls seems completely accurate.  They are made of stone, twenty feet high, and in excellent repair.  The gatehouse in front of the barbarians is similarly manned and well maintained, and they can see sharp eyed sentries looking for intruders.  The gate itself stands open, however, and people can be seen going through the passageway.

"Ah, think they'd mind if a few barbarians just walked in? Probably best to find a more subtle approach..."

Explore the outlying settlements to find some not-barbariany clothes. And also something to hide my spear in.

Walk right through the gates with head high and a song on my lips.

They are soft city folk, comrades. They expect no harm from a few simple travelers. And they can give no harm to teh Mighty. Let's go.

Rock, having come into the picture was munching on wolf meat. Killed said dog bare handed as he looked to the other barbarbians. Broad tall body in scale armor as he goes for his. Beastial helm. " Best to look at all corners. Probe for weakness." The giant went silient, blade concealed in wrap.

Looking at the town walls, the barbarians, some of them at least, decide it would be better to enter the city stealthily and start the fight at a more advantageous place and time.  In doing so,  Barbarisan and Ramses enters some cottages and hovels in search of new clothing.

None of the civilians resist, and the barbarians find what they need, bedecking themselves in some of the clothes of the softlanders.  Clothing that isn't hard or scratchy?  Such luxury this is.. no wonder they are soft.

The group of disguised barbarians than returns to the gate, weapons concealed, and imitate the dull-eyed dumbness of the beaten-down locals.  The guards hardly spare them a second look, and the group enters the city unmolested.

Beorn, on the other hand, isn't having any of this sneaking, and chooses to enter the city undisguised.  The sentries definately notice the hero, and scan the area looking for more barbarians or other threats, but in the end decide that it isn't worth hassling a single barbarian. After all, what could one man do to the city?

The first impression upon entering the city is as to the sheer number of people present.  This part of Grazina is a riot of narrow streets and passageways between close-packed multi-story wooden buildings.  There are crowds of civilians lining the streets, full of members of every profession from the high to the low.  There are a few sedan chairs around, carrying the wealthy, and there are carts slowly moving through the wider avenues.  Street vendors line the sides of major routes, and swarms of children run around in groups playing their private games.  Watchmen and guards are also in evidence, some leaning on walls and others moving with the flow of humanity.

"Objecif? What's an oject of?

I think I'll have a drinking contest!"

Beorn suits action to words, and marches into a local establishment of alcoholic exuberance, slams down some coin or treasure or whatever and challenges the bar to a drink-off. Only those who ante up may compete. winner take all.

Ramses looks around, trying to determine where the best looting is to be had, but it's too much.  The city is full of people, merchants, buildings, homes, businesses, and like the proverbial dog with two bones, cannot decide which one to go after first.  In bewilderment, he can simply follow his teammates into the tavern.

Beorn and Barbarisan are comparitively more decisive, boldly striding into a building marked with a cluster of grapes.  Inside, they find a dark wooden bar, mostly full of hard drinkers, and with a musician strumming tunes in the corner.

The night that follows is exceptional and wonderful, as Beorn remembers little of it save for the endless procession of booze.  Unfortunately, however, he ends up losing his tankard of booze to supply for the nights drinking.  It was, however a wonderful bitter quite unlike that of the local brews, and much enjoyed by all.

Barbarisan is able to remain more sensitate, if perhaps only because she stuck to drinking from mugs, rather than pouring drink from casks directly down her throat.  She is also able to ensure that Beorn doesn't hurt himself in his drunken stumblings, and is eventually able to safely deposit him under a table to sleep it off.

Perform the Liber Resh Vel Helios to commemorate the rising sun. Hopefully this will wake everyone.

Quote
Let him greet the Sun at dawn, facing East, giving the sign of his grade. And let him say in a loud voice:

"Hail unto Thee who art Ra in Thy rising, even unto Thee who art Ra in Thy strength, who travellest over the Heavens in Thy bark at the Uprising of the Sun.
Tahuti standeth in His splendour at the prow, and Ra-Hoor abideth at the helm.
Hail unto Thee from the Abodes of Night!"

Gather some information about the local governor or whatever, and their fortress. If they're a mage, what are they said to be capable of doing?

Having woken up at dawn he looks for a patrolling soldier. Attempting to hurl a nearby rock at him to knock him out or more. To make a distraction to go to gates.

( Screw it go out in blaze of glory. Cunning crit used.)
