[Blade Master Model 42]

The final bandit lets out a shriek, and falls to the ground. He struggles forward for a few more feet before laying still.

"Ah. Er, was that quite necessary? He was unarmed."

[GiglameshDespair]

Roux watched the bandit die with satisfaction.
"Best time to fight 'em is when they're unarmed. Killin' 'em is easier. Common sense, yeah?"

Yarun suddenly felt very naked without a weapon. "Oh. I see. I suppose it makes sense."

[CrimsonEon]

: "...Hm." Kaldach grunted as he slid his sword back into its scabbard, immediately walking north towards the oasis and crouching to examine the water. The combat did absolutely nothing to alleviate the heat and he wasn't about to let it continue.

The water was warm, but clear, with some green plants sprouting up near the shoreline.

[Sirus]

: "I don't particularly like it, but what's done is done. Besides, if that guy had friends he might have been running to get them. We don't want to deal with more bandits out here, do we?"

[Gaterhyme]

Liam groaned and sat up.

"Someone help me up, will you?"

[Sirus]

Sam darted over and helped the armored horseman to his feet.

[Lucus Casius]

  "...Few places they might be waiting, in the desert.  It seems unnecessary.  Still, what's done is done, and the man was likely complicit in much."

Shrugging, he followed over after Sam, giving the horseman a nod as he rose.

  "Are well enough to walk, Liam?"

[Swordstar]

"Remember everyone. No swimming in the water."

Moving over to Esther, Sharne smiled.

"Hey, question, I found this ring on the bandit. It seems like it might be magic. Any clue what it does?"

[Gaterhyme]

Liam nodded at Sam, then waved off Martyn with a hand and a wan smile.

"Thanks. Just give me a moment, and I'll be fine."

He began walking towards the oasis, as quickly as he could given his condition. He supposed he could ask Bertholt for healing, but... not when he could tough it out. They still had to be careful with their supplies.

"Were there others here, or do you think the bandits...?"

The redhead trotted back, sensing the merchant's discomfort like a shark smelling blood in the water.

Yarun suddenly felt very naked without a weapon. "Oh. I see. I suppose it makes sense."

"So... yer got a lotta valuables in that wagon, 'ey?"

"Remember everyone. No swimming in the water."

"Eh? Why not? Ain't like the locals are gonna complain anymore."

"Er, well, valuable is a... Uh... A relative term..."

[Sirus]

Liam nodded at Sam, then waved off Martyn with a hand and a wan smile.

"Thanks. Just give me a moment, and I'll be fine."

He began walking towards the oasis, as quickly as he could given his condition. He supposed he could ask Bertholt for healing, but... not when he could tough it out. They still had to be careful with their supplies.

"Were there others here, or do you think the bandits...?"

: "Dunno. Those buildings sure don't look to be in very good shape..."

"Eh? Why not? Ain't like the locals are gonna complain anymore."

: "Well, we still need to drink this water. Splashing around would probably kick up way too much sand."

[Gaterhyme]

"Guess I probably don't want to know, then."

Unless he saw any bodies, he'd just assume the locals had been driven away.

Liam sat heavily at the edge of the oasis, watching his reflection and considering whether to shed some of his armor. He made no move to do so, but at the very least, he would have to eventually examine his wounds.
