What is the geography of red?

Also, reserving!

Name: Holy Eldrathion Empire
An Empire of states in a region on the red planet. Each state is ruled by a Prince, who get together when the old emperor dies to elect a new one. The Empire has deep roots, and as a result, sticks to tradition at all times.
It is, however, neither holy, or an actual Empire.

What is the geography of red?
It didn't make it into the short bio but the surface of red is too hot for humans to survive outside of environmental suits or sealed structures. It also has thin atmosphere.

What is an asset in this game?
Assets (pg.118-123) are soldiers, structures, spaceships, and other things that your faction has under their control. For example, if someone were to use Zealots to attack the base of influence on your homeworld, you could defend against the attack with a Cunning Trap. You are limited by both your attributes (Force, Cunning, Wealth) and the TL of your planet. For example, because of your Cunning you could buy a Demagogue but not Treachery. Similarly, because of the planet's TL of 0 you could buy a Demagogue but not a Covert Transit Net. You start with two assets from your best attribute (Cunning) and two more from any of your other attributes (Force and Wealth).

I would recommend taking the Colonist or Technical Expertise tags if you're going to start on Red. TL0 is highly restrictive and will prevent you from building assets that allow you to move assets to other planets. Alternatively, you could take a Laboratory as one of your starting assets.

Faction Name: The Dark Collective
Am I correct in thinking that if I have a Force level of 3, that I cant have Force level 4 stuff as my assets?
Yes, that is correct.

(It seems a little OP that Cyan gets Tech level 5 while everyone else gets 4; how do you expect everyone to counteract Capital Ships and Space Marines lol)
Capital Ships and Space Marines are Force 8 and Force 7 respectively, preventing anyone from buying them. For the same reasons, I'm going to have to ask you to pick assets other than Popular Movement and Venture Capital, as you don't have the stats for them.

Assets:
-Pretech Infantry 16/16; Force; Military Unit; FvF 2d8; 2d8+2; Cyan
-Gravtank Formation 14/14; Force; Military Unit; FvF 2d10+4; 1d10; Cyan
I'll also ask you to replace these assets, as they require permission from the Planetary Government to build.

Edited faction, okay it's more clear now that each faction's attributes determine their maximum level of unit they can build.

And on that note, I'll be dropping out as well if the game only has two viable playstyles.

It is really confusing. I would come back though if you could flesh out the rules more here NobodyPro.
