The admiralty is on the opinion that more Persus-class should be ordered to fully use our current shipbuilding capacity. In addition, more slipways should be added to Menhit Manufactory. To pay for this, we're willing to forsake the RVS Himalaya.

The Research and Engineering Department is of the opinion we should finish building the Himalaya. Once we finally get around to finishing Jump Point Theory, assuming the projections of what it will result in are correct, having a 'spare' could be quite useful.

As for raiders, sure, forward deploy them somewhere.

The risk is that the Himalaya might be obsolete by the time we are ready to explore new systems. Plus, it'd need a jump tender to escort it. Better to wai and build a jump-capable geosurvey craft.

In that case, sure, cancel the order.

I'm fine cancelling the Himalaya. I don't see any particular need to forward deploy the raiders at this time.

Yes, given the current state of our relation, the admiralty support massing its FACs rather than putting some forward.

((With the DE yards expanded by 1000t, is there any interest from the admiralty for a larger escort design yet?))

Absolute size isn't a priority, although once we have the technologies for a better design we should make use of the extra space.

Even if you don't have anything to say about the fiddly details of ship design, I think there are plenty of opportunities to add to our big picture plans. More contributors and attention can only help this sort of thing.

The problem is my big picture plan would be kill, rape, burn, then recolonise the earth.

Can't we rape before killing?

...never visit the upper boards.

It's all experiments about how to mentally scar babies and how many grates you can make out of kittens.

Only the Upper Boards? Hah! ;)

Posting with the intent to watch and cry slightly because there's no more to read here, goddamnit.

Also, slight necro I guess? Sorry. If at all possible, could I reserve a spot for the captain of the next carrier that is built? I know that's a while away, but big ships are fun.

We have a rich tradition of percussion instruments as well, all of which are based around a musician smacking variously sized hollow rocks.
It was quite brutal actually. Who knew you could suffer major head trauma from undergarments?

They decided to leave my fortress via the circus because the front door was locked to keep Goblins out.  THAT should be an interesting trip back to the Mountainhome.

Damn, and I wanted it to die quietly like all my previous LPs. I still have all the stuff for the game, though, will try to put out an update ... soon-ish. Consider this reactivated.

Also, 90908, none of the existing carriers have captains yet. So far the only forumite with a Navy character is Sheb, Commodore and Chief of Staff of the RVN. Fleet carriers open are RVS Horatio Nelson and RVS Togo Heihachiro, or the still under-construction RVS François-Joseph de Grasse, or the light carrier RVS Moksha. Which one of these do you want, and what's the name of your character?
