You run over to the room the Black Scabs came from and peek in. Seeing no one inside, you squeeze through the rough hole in the wall and take cover in the corner.
The room itself is nothing but a big, empty concrete tomb with some garbage strewn across the floor and a flickering halogen bulb on a bare metal housing bolted to the ceiling. There are a few spray paint tags on the walls, but you can't read their twisting multicolor scrawl. Stacked in the corner of the room are two black trash bags, both of them bulging with hidden contents. In the center of the room, is a pile of bodies. There looks to be four of them, White scabs, in various degrees of dismemberment.
Across the room, on the south side, there's a section of wall that looks different; it looks like its been whitewashed.
Move into the hallway to the north and take a look around.

The hall cuts left and then goes straight on for a bit before ending in two doors, one to the right and one straight ahead. Both doors look like normal interior doors, brown- probably fake- wood with bronze door knobs. They have no deadbolts and are probably hollow instead of solid; privacy rather than security. But they are both closed.
Proceed into the crossroads room. Keep the Idol in front of me, to take any overwatch fire.

Not exactly sure which one you're talking about, but I'll assume the one egan is in. Also, the idol doesn't follow your directions mentally or anything, but you can physically grab it and direct it around.

I'm gonna assume you mean overwatch, because you can't exactly take cover behind a flimsy wooden chair. Or, I suppose you CAN, but it won't work very well.
