I'm guessing.

And this is just a guess, mind you.

That ufo would like to see players slots freed up by you killing each other.

Welcome!

So, just waiting on Overseer (FallacyofUrist).  Back tomorrow!

Conveniently, I do have something helpful in mind if I put Overseer (FallacyofUrist) on auto-pilot, just as with Durenadal (HugeNerdAndProudOfIt).  So I could advance the scene a step like that if needed.  I just figure he might want to react to something you lot are doing instead of going auto.

Overseer tries to... actually, he just lets the madmen fight. Probably better off without them anyway.

FoU has some twisted role ideas. Screw second-guessing this mechanical garbage spaghetti, I'm basing everything on reads and visible daytime behaviour.

Would you like to play a game of Mafia? The subforum is always open to new players.

The dog behind the man behind the beard.
Immortality like that would be even more game breaking than four Aaron's in one place.
You're both so obviously scum that this is a surprisingly difficult decision.

Previous -- Next

Welcome to new readers!  And . . .

Things get complicated fast.

The simple part is that Frank, amidst banter with Dustan, makes a jaunt off to the west.  Here you find the tunnel/exit you'd taken from this area the first time.  A quick double-check reveals nothing visibly changed: the tunnel doesn't look different, though now you're suspicious about looks down here.

The first complexity is that Sir Lootington bursts onto the scene with violence in his heart!  Also, a proper iron sword in his hand.  Oh, great, he beefed up his equipment in town . . .

Spoiler: Combat round order (click to show/hide)

. . . So Sir Lootington goes first, which makes sense since he's attacking Dustan without provocation.

Dustan didn't want the man around anyway, but swinging blades at his face just tears it.  Lootington gets a grazing blow against Dustan's face and the latter responds with a decent stab.

Meanwhile, John has had enough of this nonsense and is busy inspecting the older carnage.  Hmm.  It looks like some equipment pieces are missing, but more importantly--

Spoiler: . . . vs. John (ziizo) (click to show/hide)

--On Helmacon's dismantled torso rests the biggest and most bulbous mushroom, and its three chambers explode over John with a sinister "pofff."  Spores settle into your skin like lint to fabric.  You feel your muscles sieze!

If that weren't bad enough, Overseer and Durenadal--the only ones not caught up in one scheme or another--see that the commotion is drawing attention.

There it is: the wall tiger that had been using the area as its hunting grounds, now climbing down into this pit once again with open jaws.  Its knack for finding distracted victims is discomfiting.

There.  I feel like my voice had been getting unclear in the most recent updates; I think this one is better-written.

Anyway, it's likely that Durenadal (HugeNerdAndProudOfIt, on autopilot right now) will shout "look out" or something, so everyone can assume that you know trouble's coming when you make your next action.

Putting a finger to the cut and coming away with blood, he deadpan stares at lootington.
"Well then, it looks like you picked the right time to donate your kidneys! Excuse me while I apply a little "anesthetic" for you. Doubtless someone will want them soon."
Bash sir lootington in the face with my shield, then shove him down and start dissecting him.

I figure at some point, you're just gonna run outta fucks to give and just off yourself whenever you get hurt at all. It's not like there's any downsides to it. Hangover? Suicide will fix that. Stubbed your toe? Suicide. Headache? Suicide. Papercut? Suicide.

Frank dashes back, shoving Dustan to disrupt his stab, then points to the wall tiger.

"Big cat! Unless you want to lose two more competent companions, give up on the idiot for now and kill that kitty!"

He then whips out his sling and tries to fire a skull in the general area of the tiger.

(Unless Frank doesn't know about it. In such case, he simply continues wandering around)

(Mission accomplished.  Wow, for a long time I've hoped to give people more interesting choices than "Yeah, I go kill the baddies too."  Thank you for making reading all your responses a delight.)

(To be fair, I would rather focus on killing my first attacker, then use the remains to get rid of the wall tiger. Sacrifice, you know?. Also, didn't I trade my sword for a work stone knife?)

Shove Dustan Hache in the direction of the Wall tiger while backpedaling.

(Also, didn't I trade my sword for a work stone knife?)

Quite right!  I see I wrote down your new knife in the wrong spot, so now I've properly "overwritten" the iron sword with the souped-up knife.

(To be fair, I would rather focus on killing my first attacker, then use the remains to get rid of the wall tiger.)

That is a very interesting strategy and I'll keep it in mind.  (Of course, ya'll are still up to the mercies of the RTD dice, but that just keeps things exciting.)
