"Hey you. Uhhh... Durendal. I'll trade you something fancy for your bandages."

He holds up the second waterskin full of the Ether Cola, shaking it gently for emphasis.

Yea, ok. Hold o on the butchering for now.

Let's explore to the west. Mining this regular stuff isint really worth the time investment. We ought to spend our time exploring for rare minerals, or fighting strange creatures.

(this has been bugging me for a while now. You said the surface world has no idea of the underground settlements. They also sent us down here to mine. You think they would expect to get some of that mined material back, ya know? I don't see why they are just throwing a bunch of picks and supplies away. If they don't send down food or anything, then as far as they know, they may as well just execute us. You think there would be a system where we send up minerals, they send down food/water/surface supplies.)

(Two things.  First, I said that no one has seen the setup down here: I was advising FallacyofUrist in case he expected that his "Overseer" status would let him know about local society (when you hadn't even met a person yet).  Or, worse, know the plot.  And though I didn't say anything about underground ecology, I likewise didn't want him saying "oh yes, standing jellyfish, I personally am an expert exterminator," so I let the statement be interpreted as the reader may.  Thus his chosen background doesn't make him superpowered relative to other players.)

(Second, I'm glad you're thinking.)

Scout the room in the top left... oh who am I kidding, I run into it screaming at the top of my lungs for loot. If attacked KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL, if not then run in even further!

((No way this can go wrong! Nope, not at all!))

(The only person who has yet to speak, and who also has bandages, is now Overseer.  If interested in trade please remember I've put full inventory in the first post.  Frank is moderately kitted out.)

(I've got an updated map ready for when people are done with actions.)

"You want me to sew up stings and burns? They aren't even lacerations! Wait, why do bandages also work then?

Uhhh... How about you... Overseer, was it?

"I do have some medical supplies, yes. Bandages, sewing needles, thread... and a few things more useful for my profession. That said, you're going to need better medical treatment than slapping a bandage on it. Disinfect with some surface water, preferably alcohol, then apply the bandages. If somebody else would provide a bit of water to go along with what I'll apply, I'll be fine using my bandages on you. Every living colonist is more labor, more production, greater chance of survival. United we stand, apart we die horribly.

"... if you're wondering, I had to learn some basic survival skills when my previous settlement was just starting off. Haven't needed to use them since then..."

While you're here, Dustan, do you have an action?  I think that'll be everyone then.
