It has been determined that Trump is an average unladen swallow travelling northbound at his maximum sustainable speed of -3 Obama-cubits per second in the middle of a class 3 hurricane.

Avi spins that enchantment on everyone who doesn't go under their own power, waiting till the last to go herself.

Those who took the magical way down reach the bottom in about two minutes, each. Jaden was eventually convinced to come down, blindfolded, and had to be pried off of the nearest person once he reached the bottom. Once down below, they find that the edge of the valley, nearest the cliffs, is full of tall rocks and natural stone pillars, providing plenty of natural cover and obstruction, but getting much flatter ahead.

Koi and Espada notice traces of ionized particles in the air as they descend.

Titus catches up with the group. "Good to see that you are all unharmed."

"Yeah. Jeez, you two hike scary fast. Though, getting back up is probably going to take a lot longer. But let's not get ahead of ourselves."

"Yeah... we saw."

Resalth kicks at the ground. "Now that we are down here, I like it even less. We have quite a distance yet to cover to reach our apparent goal, filled with plentiful corners in which danger may lurk. We had best be on our guard."

"A shame there isn't a dedicated Scoutform present. It appears as though only moderately optimized sensor suites will have to do."

Resalth makes a rapid hand gesture and a circle of glyphs appears around him for a split-second. No and Avi can tell it's a protective spell of some kind, but the magic is unfamiliar.

After taking whatever precautions they may, the group sets off away from the cliffs, but they don't get very far. Just past the nearest pillar of rock they find a large number of corpses, all strewn about. There seem to be 15 in total, human in shape, but without closer inspection it was hard to be certain as they were covered completely in some kind of lightly-armored military-looking apparel. The remains of what looked somewhat like a giant, 3-legged crab on stilts also lay among them.

Scan errything, if possie, attempt to identify damage patterns and types/materials present in debris.

"Welp"

Jaden comes around the corner, but at the sight he immediately blanches and hides behind the nearest person. Resalth advances cautiously and pokes as one of the bodies with a clawed foot. "No apparent deterioration. Which might speak to the durability of their gear, but no dust has settled upon them. I fear these are quite recent."

Scan errything, if possie, attempt to identify damage patterns and types/materials present in debris.

The suits on the dead soldiers appear to be rather well insulated, befuddling simple EM scans beyond the surface layer, but spectral scans of their gear show relatively advanced synthetic materials: primarily thick fabric and reinforcing/armor plates, both of polymer. As Resalth said, they do not show any of the signs of deterioration that might be expected for dead bodies in a habitable atmosphere. Or, in fact, any apparent signs damage at all. At least, until you spot on each body a small circular scorch mark, either on the torso or the back. Most of them still hold their weapons, the rest having them lie in the dirt besides them: you see a few conventional firearms, but mostly some rather strange-looking two-pronged rifles of unknown function.

The crab-thing seems to be a synthetic organism: composed mostly of organic tissue and carapace, but with very apparent metal components and machinery woven seamlessly into its form. In particular, the large blades on the ends of its three legs and what looks like a cannon slung under its thorax. You can spot no scorch mark upon it from where you stand, but the legs seem to have actually detached at the base.

You also note relatively high amounts of ionized particles in the air: some fairly potent energy weapons were discharged here within the last hour. There also seem to be a handful of ejected bullet casings on the ground near the soldiers with ballistics, but no discarded magazines, suggesting that the fight was over before they had to reload.

I do believe we have found replacement clothes and materials for you Espada. Said clothes may require a few tweaks but they should be sufficient."

Koi picks up one of the pronged guns and investigates it in detail.
