Austro-Hungary once again offers Germany a military alliance, to better ward off the vile Russians.

The Austrian nobility nervously whistles to itself and twiddles its thumbs at all of the madness going on in Western Europe.

@United Kingdom:

UK declares war against the Spanish - and in turn, French declared war and the republic's fleets moved in to intercept the British warships moving from London into the English Channel.

Quote from: Combat 1 in Channel
3rd French Republic (+1) vs United Kingdom (+2)
7+1 vs 5+2
British fleet sunk!

The loss of the newly constructed ships hurt the British, and voices called for rematch! Half the ships stationed in North Sea moved in to get rid of the French warships.

Quote from: Combat 2 in Channel
United Kingdom (+3) vs 3rd French Republic (+0)
6+3 vs 5
French fleet sunk!

The attack power of the British Dreadnoughts, coupled with aerial support from the English airfields, helped sink the French fleet and free the Channel!

This unfortunately postponed any plans of Iberian invasion. Still, the invasion in the opposite direction could proceed.

Quote from: Combat 1 in #1
United Kingdom (+0) vs Iceland (+2):
1 vs 1+2
British army destroyed!

The Icelanders didn't budge from their island and taught the British a valuable (and bloody) lesson in beach combat.

At least the invasion of Sicily went easy - mostly because there was no Spanish troops to protect it.

Another marine operation was to take Calais from the hands of the French...

Quote from: Comabt 1 in #54
United Kingdom (+0) vs 3rd French Republic (+2):
3 vs 6+2
British army destroyed!

And it failed as well.

Ireland and Wales opened new academies sponsored by the Crown, while the first Alexandrian airfield came into operation about the same time.

Construct airfields in 59 and 65. Construct fortifications in 55
Move one army from 56 to 54.
Move one army from 56 to 58.
Ferry one army from 58 to 65 (using French fleet in Ligurian and Spanish in Tyrr.)
Move fleet from Ligurian to Tyrrhenian, after troop transport.

Spain sends an open message to France with their finest Spanish Gold and other nice trinkets as thanks, and also an early variation of popcorn that consisted of cheese and crunchy fried corn, after watching the awesome battle in England's channel.

Spain sends Italy a peace note, as they had only attacked due to France, and are OKAY with Italy recapturing their lands (but have to defend some because of suspicions that Britain just attacked because they were undefended lands.)

Request that the Ottoman Empire end large scale trade with Spain and make Exchange Treaty with Italy. If you are worried about Spaniards not having full trade, keep in mind they can always trade with France.

Also request Sicily back; Also wait what France can build airbase s in Spanish territory?
Also accept peace with Spain on condition of returning 64,65,66,68, and 81. And not supporting France's ability to invade me navally.

Spain is baffled at these strange birds with metal wings too, but they are French and they are ok with that o_o

Spain also considers this and agrees with the latter, but notes that said areas seceded willingly, and that Italy somehow hasn't given Britain any word on their own land? Spain's suspicion grows. ._.

@Russian Empire:

The mighty Russian Dreadnoughts moved to sink some German ships south of Visby.

Quote from: Combat 1 in Baltic Sea
Russian Empire (+3) vs German Empire (+2)
6+3 vs 4+2
German fleet sunk!

The Germans tried to give the Russians a beating, with the Pomeranian airfields contributing few strafing runs against smaller ships, but ultimately it was the Tsar's seamen who won this naval engagement.

Meanwhile, the Russian conscripts tried to take over Southern Sweden...

Quote from: Combat 1 in #7
Russian Empire (+2) vs South Sweden (+2):
7+2 vs 3+2
South Sweden conquered by Russian Empire!

This time, the Tsar wasn't disappointed either!

The engineers had to remind the Tsar, however, that there were already national factories around St.Petersburg.

The Austrian nobility sends the Italian nobility a fruit basket. The fruit basket contains a wide arrangement of exotic fruits, fine Austrian chocolates, and a small bomb with the words "No hard feelings" hastily scrawled across it.

Declare war on Italy.
1 Army from 48 to 40.
1 Army from 40 to 62.
Build a railroad in 41.
Build academies in 40, 41, and 47.

Offer a military alliance to the Ottomans, for they surely see that the vile Russians must be coming for them next.

Germany warns that if the Austrians carry out their aggressions against the italians, they will immediately cease the military alliance between the two nations and additionally seek peace (Or ceasefire) with the russians.

Austria reminds Germany that if actions such as these are not taken, the proud Austrian empire will never be able to survive a war of Attrition with the Russians. While regrettable, there is no other available option. Austria is saddened at losing a good trading partner.

Germany replies to the message saying that it won't be the russians the austrians would have to worry about.
