I wander around looking for a minotar to kill, if I Don't find any I Head out south.
Deliberately seeking trouble in the Hub will sometimes yield results. Having been told this, Larry looks for something to kill.
[6]Stepping into one of the many alleyways in the urban environment that is the Hub, Larry notices two humans standing over a red and fleshy pile. Their hands are covered in blood, probably from the poor thing that was once the pile of gore below them. They turn to him with maddened looks in their eyes and make gutteral growling noises. Despite being outnumbered, Larry has a feeling they are nothing more than unarmed cannibalistic madmen. [6+2]Attempting to drain them of their life, he yanks out the blackened souls of both of them effortlessly and binds said two souls to his service. The tortured souls screech and writhe against their dark bindings, but accomplish nothing.
Two shades gained as minionsScribble
Huh.
Summon mortar and a few cryogenic shells for it. Ones filled with highly compressed liquid oxygen or something similar. Aim at fire-man. Fire shell at fire-man. If this is effective against him, but doesn't kill, fire another. If he starts coming for me, attempt to hide. I'm a skeleton, surely just hurling myself onto the ground and looking like a naturally occurring ex-adventurer would be cover enough.
[4+1]Mr Bones gains a mortar of sorts, but notices another item he conjured previously dissolves into nothingness. Too many powerful items
[6+1]Mr Bones then prepares what he intended as about two cryogenic shells for his mortar. Instead, he ends up with eight of them. Loading one in, he launches it at the fire-man.
[5]The fire creature shrinks significantly as a blast of icy blue vapor covers the front of the cathedral, freezing over much of the vicinity. It lets loose a distorted 'yell' of sorts, despite lacking any sort of vocal system.
"Arcodo! Can ye heal Crimson o'er there?"
Wait. Y4R-M8 is a robot. A rather heavy one. TACKLE THE ASSHAT, PIN 'IM DOWN!
[1]In a display that is surprising even to the GM, Y4R-M8 once more fails spectacularly. Tripping over his own two feet and falling forward, he does however land on top of Ax and seems to pin him down beneath his steel carapace. [3]Ax struggles in vain against the weight, losing the opportunity to retaliate. "Grahh.. you.. idiot. Get off me!"
Is Ax still in the cathedral, or is the fight moving out of there? Move away, but still keep line of sight on what's happening inside. If the other two are defeated, activate the runes.
Ninja'd: Possibly. A distraction would help, though. If Ax focuses her attention on Y4R-M8, bring Crimson to cover and attempt to manage his wounds. I may not have to many materials to work with, but some archived medical knowledge might make up for it.
Arcodo grabs Crimson and drags him behind a nearby pillar, attempting to set Crimson's bones after quickly consulting various mentally archived medical manuals. [6+1]Arcodo performs a medical treatment miracle, and sets Crimson's fractured shoulder and femur like an expert and with surgical precision. He does so with materials from the environment- peeled off pieces of the huge burgundy rugs glued into a sling of sorts with the brownish ooze that permeates most of the plane. Just then, the cathedral is shaken by a explosion just outside.
Get angry. Really angry. I have faced many things back then in my line of work, many which required putting my life on the line. Remember all of those experiences. They might not compare to the danger of that bastard but damn it, his words are an insult to someone like me! It's fight or die! Also, I'm already in here anyway so why the hell can't something that is part of me enter?! Call the elemental in! Oh yeah, let Arcodo heal me first of course. Then go and charge, use the Zweihander to break one of the chains in the middle.
As his bones are set by his quite literally bookish friend, Crimson considers the entire situation. It isn't the first time his mortality has been threatened, so what point is there in just lying down here? To make matters worse, this 'Ax' guy has been insulting him and mocking him all the while. Feeling his pride well up inside of him, he is consumed by a burning rage more powerful than the most potent of flames he has ever conjured. Bouncing up off the ground, he mentally yells at his elemental to get in there. Oddly enough, it seems as though it has been crippled by some sort of external force- another enemy outside maybe? Not thinking of this for long, he charges in berserk rage towards Ax and recalls his zweihander. [4+1]Launching himself forward, he pulls Y4R off of Ax and picks the Agonist up in one fluid motion, slicing the center chain with his zweihander before dropping Ax onto the ground. Ax stands up, [2]widely missing Crimson's face with an angry left hook. "Pyromancer! How are you standing?! Impossible! IMPOSSSIIIBBBLEEE!"
"Demons? My master warned me of them when I was an apprentice. I had hoped that by avoiding contact with them, they would not notice me. I guess that will not be the case here, and summoning a replacement eye for myself would only draw their attention further. Very well. I accept your trade."
Learn Demonology and install my new eye. Politely order Prismata to use her precognition to tell me what to expect on the other side of the South Gate and wherected to find the others. Then go through the South Gate if I'm not at risk of dying or my stuff breaking when I enter.
The summoner accepts the deal, performs the exchange and is soon left alone as the Merchant and his cart vanish into thin air.
Tobias studies the tome, finding the enchantments within making it much easier to read. In the span of 15 minutes, he has completely finished the tome and learned rudimentary Demonology.
He then takes the orange gemstone in his left hand, feeling the cold and rounded surface roll around in his palm a little, and places it in his left eye socket. It 'clicks' in as though it was his own eye, and he finds himself able to move it like it was. An intense vibrating sensation washes over his crown as he regains vision on his left side. The conjurer finds himself able to see perfectly, and gets the feeling that his new eye is actually stronger than his old one was.
"
Prismata- use your precognition to see what awaits us on the other side of the South Gate, please."
The Glass Archminotaur mumbles something before speaking louder. "
I can only see 13 seconds into the future, and my ability isn't perfect so it sometimes misreads it. Anyway, it seems as though a dark landscape awaits you beyond that portal. Slime covers the ground and a hill can be seen on the horizon, as well as a sickly green moon that provides little illumination. I can't see him at all, but I think there is another Visitor on that hill."
Thanking the crystal seer, Tobias steps into the gate after climbing into his mech.
Prismata was not lying, everything looks just as she described it. The ooze below is probably sticking to the feet of the mechanical suit of armor, and the air here is considerably cold. Still, the environment itself doesn't seem to be the hostile part of this dimension.
Trier resharpens his longsword, then he heads South.
[3+1]Trier resharpens his longsword, but slightly damages it in the process. It should still hold up for quite some time, though, and seems to retain it's vorpal edge.
Trier is met by a gloomy and dark land. The green moon in the sky would probably nauseate him if crystal monsters had stomachs. He notices that Tobias is here in his mech suit, and feels a little more confident about the whole thing because of that fact. A hill can be seen on the horizon as well, the only spot within sight that rises out of the sticky goo that covers Trier's legs up to his ankles.
